Dallin Dance Drops Electrifying Club Track “Last Night”

Raised in Idaho’s small town Coeur d’ Alene, Dallin Dance was always infatuated with music, taking up piano at age 6 and guitar at age 9, before falling in love with music production. Initially diving into downtempo and hip-hop, Dallin Dance honed in on his craft and landed a number of production placements with A-tier hip-hop artists, before diving into electronic music as a junior in high school. Now at 19 years old, he is touring the US without a booking agent and setting the blueprint for independent artists worldwide.

“There is something about performing your music in front of thousands of people that is intoxicating. It’s an incredible feeling to know that you have the power to move so many people with your music. The energy of the crowd, the beat of the music, and the thrill of performing all come together to create a sense of euphoria.”

The latest addition to Dallin Dance’s explosive discography is the intoxicating club gem “Last Night,” which might arguably make for his best single to date. Part of his forthcoming debut EP, slated for release later this year, “Last Night” is an undisputed party anthem, filled with exciting moments from front to back. Hard-hitting tech house beats and basslines drive the tune, while intimate vocal samples and otherworldly effects take it to the next level. Dallin Dance is only getting started, and his recent signing with tastemaker label TH3RD BRAIN Records will only assist in further cementing him as a dominant up-and-comer within the scene.

We were able to chat a bit with Dallin Dance and his plans and inspirations:

Hey Dallin! First off, we gotta say: nice last name! Talk to us about your latest single “Last Night” How did it come about and what was the most fun part about producing it?

Dallin: “Thanks for having me! Yes, I actually began this track over a year ago. My initial inspiration for ‘Last Night’ was from Kaskade’s ‘Redux 003’ album. I actually came up with the hook idea while I was at school listening to that album. There were so many elements that I loved about creating this track, but if I had to choose one, it would be sound designing the heavy basslines. I just couldn’t wait to hear it on the full stage speakers”

How did you initially become involved in music?

Dallin: “I got into music at a very young age. My parents enrolled me in piano lessons when I was just 6 years old, and I’ve been playing and composing ever since. I was trained in classical and jazz which gave me a foundation for my music theory. My aunt introduced me to Logic when I was like 15 and I got hooked on producing. I began with Hip Hop beats but soon transitioned into EDM. I’ve always been drawn to electronic dance music and the energy it brings. Before I knew it, I was fully immersed in the world of electronic music production and DJing. And I’ve been loving every minute of it.”

We heard you’re taking 16 hours of courses this semester! What courses are you taking and how do you balance that with your music?

Dallin: “Yes. I’m taking a full load of business classes this semester and it’s been a great learning experience so far. I’m taking mainly entrepreneurship, marketing, and other business classes. It’s a challenging schedule but I feel like these business courses will be incredibly valuable to me in the long run. I want to make sure I have a solid understanding of the industry and the business side of things so I can be successful as both a producer and entrepreneur.”

What are your music plans for the rest of the year?

Dallin: “I have a lot of exciting projects in the works for the rest of the year! I’m planning on releasing a few more singles before my debut EP. I’m also planning on continuing to perform live as much as possible and play some music festivals later in the year. Nothing beats the energy and excitement of playing your own tracks live!
My goal for the rest of the year is to continue to grow as an artist, push my boundaries creatively, and put out the best music I can. I’m really excited for what the future holds and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.”
