CEO of DGI Management, former manager to Mark Ronson, and now an artist. Damon DeGraff has spent years working within the music industry and is now diversifying his portfolio with his debut release as an artist ‘Remedy’ on his record label Masquerave Records.
It is a wonderful blend of Afro house with some Caribbean style which transports you to a warm summers day in an instant. He said he wanted to “craft a sound that feels like home for both cultures, bringing the warmth of the islands and the spirit of the dancefloor together.” It feels incredibly smooth and clean in its production with an infectious groove that gets you moving before you can even think about it.
The experience, knowledge, and attention to detail are clear across the track with balance between rhythmic percussion, infectious basslines, and chords being handled expertly. This excellent use of sonic space allows all the elements to shine through including Sincerely Suav’s beautiful vocals which further the tracks emotion. ‘Remedy’ sets out a clear style from Damon DeGraff that’s inspired by his background and celebrates culture and connection.
This track marks the transition from DeGraff being the mastermind behind the curtain to being the star on the stage. Beautifully produced and undeniably groovy, ‘Remedy’ is an astonishing debut single that is certain to be lighting up the dancefloor over the summer.
