1001Tracklists have also released the ‘Future Of Dance’ List spotlighting 101 women and POC artists alongside the Top 101 Producers. Hand-selecting artists from across the globe, the Future of Dance is not just a list — it’s a movement to inspire greater change in the dance music scene. These artists’ productions have been important in defining the sounds of the electronic music world in the past 12 months and will pave the path ahead.

The sold-out celebratory Top 101 Producers event will take place on Thursday, October 19th, with award presentations and surprises for all those in attendance in Amsterdam.

The Top 101 Producers 2023 are here and David Guetta takes home the top prize for the third time after watching ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ together with Bebe Rexha turn into a worldwide sensation and dropping massive club anthems like ‘The Freaks’ together with MARTEN HØRGER and his 2023 Mix of ‘Be My Lover’ together with Hypaton. With an unparalleled creative output and a soundscape that traverses the diverse realms of electronic music, he’s a well-deserved repeat winner.

The Top 101 Producers showcase the artists whose productions have been supported the most by DJs around the world. It’s a 100% data-driven ranking, and something that is very unique in the music industry. Using data collected on 1001Tracklists.com, the rankings are calculated by summing up each artist’s unique DJ support between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.

21 countries are represented in this year’s rankings, led by the UK (26 artists) and the Netherlands (19 artists) who had by far the greatest representation. Other countries which had strong contingents are the US (12 artists), Australia (6 artists), Germany (6 artists), France (5 artists), Brazil (4 artists), Italy (4 artists), Belgium (3 artists), and Sweden (3 artists). The following countries were also represented: Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Mexico, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Spain, and Ukraine.

Coming in at #2 is Italian melodic techno artist Anyma, one half of Tale Of Us, who’s taken the dance music world by storm since launching his project in 2021. Last year’s release ‘Eternity’ together with Chris Avantgarde is one of the tracks of the year in 2023, and his remix of Fred again.. & Swedish House Mafia ft. Future ‘Turn On The Lights Again..’ could be heard everywhere on the club circuit.

After previously taking home second place in 2020, Italian trio MEDUZA are back in the Top 5 at #3 in 2023. They’re one of the most in-demand artists and had a residency together with James Hype this summer at Hï Ibiza, and they currently hold the #2 track of the year with their edit of Genesi‘s ‘Everything You Have Done’.

Tiësto comes in at #4 in 2023, having finished in the Top 10 in all 8 years that the Top 101 Producers have existed. His Solardo collaboration ‘I Can’t Wait’ led the way for the legendary artist in 2023.

Dutch artist Mau P is this year’s highest new entry, stamping his place in the Top 101 Producers at an astounding #5 in 2023. Last year’s hit track ‘Drugs From Amsterdam’ was the track of 2022, and this year’s smash ‘Gimme That Bounce’ is currently the top track of 2023.

2023 features 19 artists making their first appearance in the Top 101 Producers. After Mau P at #5, San Pacho is this year’s second highest new entry at #39, followed by Odd Mob at #42.

This year’s biggest movers are Fred Again.., who is up 72 spots to #12 this year, James Hurr who climbs 67 places to #21, and Solardo who rise 55 spots to #40. Other big movers include Maddix, who’s up 52 spots to #11, and MEDUZA, who surged 43 places to #3.

1001Tracklists has announced a partnership with DJ.Studio for this year’s Top 101 Producers and Future of Dance. DJ.Studio is a digital audio workstation designed specifically for DJs and fans who want to create DJ mixes and playlists. It’s a unique piece of software that has revolutionized the process of creating DJ mixes. This helps you to create seamless transitions with minimal effort, and it’s never been faster to create your own mix. This partnership extends far beyond ADE as 1001Tracklists has just announced an integration with DJ.Studio so that you can import a set or mix from 1001Tracklists and create your own mix from it within DJ.Studio. You can catch CEO Evan Sacks alongside DJ.Studio CEO Siebrand Dijkstra and Laidback Luke on Wednesday from 5-6pm at ADE presenting how Laidback Luke uses the DJ.Studio platform to make his radio show in one third of the time it used to take.

On Thursday, October 19th, 1001Tracklists will return to Room Mate Aitana Hotel in Amsterdam to celebrate the Top 101 Producers with a sold-out event. This year’s lineup features some of the hottest names in dance music performing enormous back to back sets, with Mark Knight b3b CASSIMM b3b Crusy, Mike Williams b2b Tim Hox, Andruss b2b Rayzir, Marco Lys b2b Thomas Newson, Draxx b2b LOVRA, and Nifra b2b Marie Vaunt. The event will also see Joel Corry and Juliet Sikora perform, as well as two very special guests.

1001Tracklists are hoping to continue making steps towards changing the electronic music industry with the ‘Future of Dance.’ Released alongside their annual Top 101 Producers rankings, the platform has also published a list of the 101 Female and POC artists that have played a huge part in the dance music scene over the past year.

1001Tracklists has announced a partnership with POSH, an event management platform, who is handling the RSVPs and ticketing for this year’s event. Founded by a team of DJs and event producers, POSH is democratizing the ability for anyone to host an event, from dinner parties to music festivals.

This is the third year that 1001Tracklists has published The Future of Dance, and 1001Tracklists has ensured that the list is given equal weight as their Top 101 Producers by matching the amount of featured artists as well as publishing both on the same day. Born as a result of an ongoing lack of representation and empowerment within the music industry, the Future of Dance is not just a list – it’s a movement to inspire greater change in the dance music scene.

On Friday, October 20th, 1001Tracklists will host its second Future of Dance ADE showcase event, this year taking place in collaboration with ADE at the Andaz Hotel. The 2023 celebration will feature b2b sets from some of the most inspiring female and POC artists over the last year including Bun Xapa b2b Karyendasoul, Carly Wilford b2b Max Low, Elif b2b Julya Karma, Francis Mercier b2b Alex Wann, and Laura van Dam b2b Leena Punks. Striving for more inclusivity in the electronic music community, 1001Tracklists has made it their mission to create global opportunities exclusively for minority groups, offering a platform for them to showcase their talent, as well as developing their careers further.
