Day Zero Tulum 2026: Damian Lazarus and Marco Carola Deliver Historic Jungle Ritual
Day Zero Tulum 2026 returned to the Mayan jungle on January 10, 2026, for its 13th edition, delivering a transformative 17-hour journey.
If there is one event that has successfully transitioned from a niche gathering to a global electronic pilgrimage, it is Day Zero Tulum 2026. On January 10, 2026, the festival returned for its thirteenth edition, and for the thousands of devotees who made the trek into the Mayan jungle, it was nothing short of a spiritual reset.
Curated by the visionary Damian Lazarus and executed by the Mexican production juggernaut Lostnights, Day Zero 2026 didn’t just close out the Tulum season, it set a new benchmark for what an immersive festival can achieve.
A 17-Hour Symphony of Sound
The musical programming this year was a marathon of excellence, stretching over 17 uninterrupted hours across three newly revamped stages: the Main Stage, the Club Stage, and El Teatro.
The lineup was a masterclass in flow and energy. Early standouts included deep, rhythmic sets from JAMIIE and Mahmut Orhan at the Club Stage, while Luch commanded the crowd at El Teatro. However, the energy reached a fever pitch on the Main Stage. The collective Indo Warehouse brought their signature sound to the heart of the jungle, and the pairing of Mau P B2B Seth Troxler delivered a grooving, high-octane performance that perfectly bridged the gap between underground credibility and main-stage appeal.
But the moment that will be discussed in group chats for months to come was the closing ceremony. Damian Lazarus joined forces with techno titan Marco Carola for a historic back-to-back set. As the sun crept over the canopy and lasers sliced through the morning mist, the two legends took the crowd on a transcendent journey, cementing the set as one of the most iconic moments in the festival’s history.

Lostnights: The Architects of the Vibe
While the DJs provided the soundtrack, the atmosphere was engineered by Lostnights. Operating under the banner of “Fuerza Maya,” the production team managed to integrate massive sound systems and lighting rigs seamlessly into the raw environment.
It wasn’t just about the music; it was about the “theater” of the jungle. Attendees navigated a landscape filled with ritual fire performances, performers channeling Mayan cosmovision, and surreal art installations. This wasn’t a party in a parking lot; it was a living, breathing ecosystem where modern production met ancient energy
Partying with Purpose
In a scene often criticized for its environmental footprint, Day Zero continues to prove that hedonism and responsibility can coexist. This year, the festival’s commitment to the local region went far beyond lip service.
A major highlight was the festival’s work with the Dos Ojos community, where organizers installed 80 solar luminaires. This infrastructure project now provides clean, renewable lighting for over 100 families, improving security and reducing reliance on fossil fuels long after the stage lights have been packed away.
Furthermore, the “Day Zero Family” deepened its ties with Club Titanes de Tulum, a local youth soccer academy. In a touching pre-festival event, the team unveiled a brand-new 15-passenger van, funded by three years of festival contributions, to help transport young athletes safely to their matches. It was a reminder that the “tribe” mentality extends to the actual residents of Tulum, not just the visiting ravers.

Next Stop: Bali
For those who missed the magic in Mexico (or those already craving their next fix), the ritual is expanding. The Day Zero team has announced their return to Bali on April 17, 2026. Promising a fusion of island mysticism and cosmic futurism, the Bali edition is shaping up to be the next essential stop on the global circuit.

Eran Previews Seven of the Hottest Tracks of the Summer
ERAN previews seven unreleased tracks already spinning in sets by Hugel, Solomun, and WhoMadeWho ahead of a big summer.
ERAN took to Instagram this week to preview a collection of upcoming originals still in the pipeline. He gave fans an early listen to music that hasn’t hit any platform yet. The previews span seven tracks. Moreover, the early feedback from the DJ community has been anything but quiet. Hugel, Solomun, and WhoMadeWho are among the names already supporting the unreleased material. This shows a level of pre-release traction. In fact, it signals serious dancefloor weight across the board.

ERAN Previews Unreleased Music
The previewed tracks sit firmly within ERAN’s established lane: Afro house, tribal rhythms, and melodic elements shaped by his Middle Eastern roots. Years of refining his sound between Miami studios and global stages are evident throughout. While full release details remain under wraps, the Instagram preview makes one thing clear a busy summer is coming.
Support From Hugel, Solomun, and WhoMadeWho
Notably, getting unreleased music into the sets of Hugel, Solomun, and WhoMadeWho before a track has even been announced is no small achievement. Since these artists operate across very different corners of electronic music, the support says a lot about the versatility of the material. Hugel brings peak-hour energy, while Solomun represents the deeper late-night underground sound. Meanwhile, WhoMadeWho bridges melodic and indie dance influences. Together, their support points toward a batch of music with genuine crossover appeal.
ERAN’s Rise Across Afro House
Originally born in Israel and now based in Miami, ERAN began his journey into music in New York in 2001. Since then, he has spent more than two decades building a catalogue that crosses Afro house, tribal house, and melodic production. As a result, his signature sound has become heavily shaped by both his heritage and international influences.
His profile shifted significantly in 2023. Most notably, his collaboration with Madonna, Blondish, and Darmon on Sorry reached number one in 76 countries. In addition, the track topped the Beatport chart within days of release. Around the same period, his Afro house track Rej also claimed the number one spot on Beatport, while his Spotify streams pushed well past 30 million.
Over the years, his music has appeared on Insomniac Records, Armada, Spinnin’ Records, and Ultra. At the same time, his own label One Day Forever has continued growing as a platform for Afro, tribal, and melodic sounds. Beyond releases, he has performed at EDC, BPM, and Zamna. Because of this consistency, ERAN has built a reputation as a producer capable of balancing underground credibility with crossover reach without losing either side of his identity.
Latest Release Out Now
While the seven previewed tracks are still building toward release, ERAN also currently has his latest single I Like The Way You Move out now with The Angels (IL) via Go Deeva Light Records.
ERAN has a packed summer schedule on the horizon. Stay connected with his socials below for the latest show announcements and release updates. These will come as the season approaches.

Tita Lau Releases New Single ‘Freaky’
Tita Lau releases her first single of 2026, ‘Freaky’, a sample-based dancefloor record built around the iconic Jodeci vocal and her own signature production style.
Tita Lau steps into 2026 with her first release of the year, ‘Freaky’, arriving off the back of a month-long tour across Asia and the success of her collaboration with James Hype on ‘More Of The Same’, which has now surpassed one million streams. The new single marks a notable moment in her discography as her first ever sample-based record, drawing on the iconic Jodeci vocal from Freakn’ You and pairing it with her own signature vocals and precision dancefloor production.
Breaking Down the Sound of Freaky
Freaky is built for the dancefloor from the ground up. The track centres on a throbbing off-beat bass and thumping percussion, with infectious melodic leads weaving around the Jodeci sample throughout. Tita has added her own vocals to the record, sitting alongside the original in a way that feels personal rather than simply functional. The production draws influence from drum-heavy techno grooves while retaining the soulful, emotive qualities that have long defined her approach to house music. The result is a track that bridges the raw energy of the club with the emotional pull of a vocal that has resonated with audiences for decades.
Speaking about the release, Tita said: “I grew up on the iconic original and always wanted to put my signature on it to play in my sets. It always goes off.”
Tita Lau’s 2025-2026 Momentum
The release of Freaky follows a particularly strong stretch for Tita Lau. Her collaboration with James Hype, More Of The Same, broke through the one million streams mark and introduced her to a significantly wider audience ahead of her Asia tour. That run of dates across the continent further cemented her reputation as a consistently high-energy live performer, with the momentum from both carrying directly into this new chapter of her 2026 output. With Freaky now out, it signals the beginning of what looks set to be a busy and musically adventurous year.
