Regarding up and coming talent that is on the rise, you cannot forget about the English born Deeper Than L. He has released tracks on labels like Lapsus Music, Prison Entertainment, PP Music, Kenja, Krafted and many more along with an impressive portfolio of sets at venues across the UK. Most recently, he played at the very popular British festival Northern Lights, along side Josh Butler. On the production end of things, he has released some high quality tracks such as ‘Hew La’, ‘Doin Bits’ and ‘Purley Belta’ and he is not finished just yet.
For his latest release, Deeper Than L takes the classic track ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’ by Chemical Brothers and gives it a modern house twist. The Newcastle based artist kicks it off with a punchy kick that is then joined by hi-hats and claps which set the tone for the rest of the remix. As the remix progresses, Deeper Than L then adds the iconic vocals from the original before building to the first drop. Filtered bass lines and effects build tension and the drop hits with tons of power. Low lying rhythmic bass lines take to the fore front and they top this remix off perfectly. Deeper Than L then shows off his innovative side as he adds break beat tones to the break down before heading back to the house style for the second drop.
