When it comes to spotting new and fresh talents, it can be hard to notice the one DJ who is making waves through all the releases every week. However, when you speak about hidden gems and artists making moves, you have to mention the name of DHAF. DHAF, real name Diego Herrera Aguirre, is a 25-year-old Mexican DJ and producer. He is a relative newcomer on the scene with his first single being released in 2019, ‘Call The Rain’. In the short space of 2 years, DHAF has gone from being a newcomer to a genuine artist with the sky as his limit. With a high passion for dance music, you can hear this when you take a listen to any of the tracks from DHAF. In his home country of Mexico, he has been marked by many as one of the brightest talents in the country with his exceptional productions and live performances.
DHAF began his journey into electronic dance music at a very young age, mostly being attracted to genres such as house, deep house, and tech house. Noticing a genuine love for dance music, he began to produce his first tracks, resulting in groovy pieces of music, exquisite vocals, and a unique style. His rapid ascendancy on the scene has led him to perform at world-class festivals, alongside artists such as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Richie Hawtin, Sharam Jey, Danny Tenaglia, and Justin Martin just to name a few. Similarly, he was recognized for his talent on the official page of Mixmag México, one of the most important electronic music magazines.
On the production front, DHAF has been impressing with each and every release, most notably the original ‘Make It Right’ and his remix of ‘Back Around’ by KAMARENA. For his latest outing, the Mexican artist makes his debut on the Mexican record label Terms and Conditions, led by his fellow countrymen Tom & Collins. With previous support from dance music legend Mark Knight, DHAF keeps his high momentum rolling with ‘Dreams’ alongside KAMARENA. ‘Dreams’ has all the making of being a straight-up hit, with grooves, soul, and the perfect tempo. The pair of artists create a playful melody that grabs the attention and when you’re least expecting it, they hit you with the groove of a brilliant bassline and synth combo.
Make sure to follow DHAF on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to never miss out!
