Dirty Sound Boys is a project from Porto, Portugal that started in 2012 with Jorge Apolónio. Since then, he has played at some of the biggest festivals and venues in Portugal like Meo Sudoeste, Galp Beach Party, Meo Marés Vivas, and many others. Since 2018, he has honed his craft and created a signature style that sets him apart from the crowd. A style he likes to call “tech bass”, his style is a mixture of two strands of house music; tech house and bass house. In the last years, Dirty Sound Boys has received support from the likes of Don Diablo, Dannic, and Timmy Trumpet while he has also released tracks on well-known record labels like Hexagon, Revealed Recordings, and Peak Hour Music among others. Now for his latest outing, Dirty Sound Boys makes his debut on the ever-rising Blackbox Records with ‘DLMD’.
A single that perfectly showcases that signature tech bass style that we’ve come to love from Dirty Sound Boys, ‘DLMD’ features instantly memorable vocals and a drop that is sure to get any dance floor jumping. The single kicks off with a sultry piano that is accompanied with those exceptional vocals. It doesn’t take long before energy is injected into proceedings as Dirty Sound Boys build towards the drop. The drop then comes and blows us away as a powerful yet groovy bassline take centre stage as addictive topline synths take up the rest of the mix and top this single off perfectly.
