This past week, Dirtybird Records released the ‘Dirtybird Campout Compilation 2022’ featuring original tracks by Justin Jay, Kevin Knapp, Mark Farina & Homero Espinosa, 2Phargon, E.R.N.E.S.T.O, Dipzy, Maxim Lany, Arnold & Lane, Luke Andy, and Frivolous Jackson.
A dynamic collection of the best and brightest sounds offered at Dirtybird Campout, the 2022 compilation is an exciting foray into the gritty techno and deep house music that has become synonymous with the Dirtybird brand. The latest edition of Dirtybird’s iconic ‘Campout Compilation’ continues to shine a spotlight on rising label favorites like 2Phargon and E.R.N.E.S.T.O, in addition to featuring fresh faces like Belgium’s Maxim Lany and Chicago’s Frivolous Jackson.
Pioneering house producer Kevin Knapp kicks things into gear with ‘Dope Kid Central’, a dynamic opener filled with rhythmic percussion and chopped vocal accents. Dancefloor favorite Justin Jay keeps the vibe going with his grungy bass-driven techno hit ‘Want’ while up-and-coming tech-house DJ Dipzy dives deep on ‘Waiting’. Maxim Lany makes his Dirtybird debut with experimental slow-burner ‘Against All Odds’. Chicago house legend Mark Farina teams up with west coast house champion Homero Espinosa for ‘Falling Forward’.
Miami-based producer E.R.N.E.S.T.O takes the energy up a notch with ‘Shake N Drop’, a lively party-starter filled with glitchy vocal chops. LA-based house duo Arnold & Lane bring their creative spirit with their wonky deep cut ‘Bing Bong Baby’. Friend Within’s celebrated 2Phargon alias makes an appearance with his dark rave offering ‘Petrol’. Rising talent Luke Andy adds his refreshing take with ‘Wussup’ and Frivolous Jackson closes the compilation with ‘Swivel’.
Eight years ago, house producer Claude VonStroke dreamt of an independent music festival that could cut through the mediocrity of corporate raving and foster a community of weirdos and dance heads looking for something more. The result was Dirtybird Campout – a wild and free playground for fans of all backgrounds, a place where creativity and positivity reign supreme, and a destination where you can come of age, again and again, every summer. Now, with this choose-your-own destiny ethos at its core, Campout prevails as the best boutique music festival in the world, where both the uninitiated and veterans merge on the dancefloor and games field alike to get down like it’s the last party on earth.
Dirtybird Campout returns to the Modesto Reservoir Campgrounds in Central California from October 7-9 with a lineup featuring Claude VonStroke, Justin Jay, Goldie, Mr. Carmack, Walker & Royce, Kevin Knapp, VNSSA, Nikki Nair, Nala, Coco & Breezy, Mz Worthy, and Lubelski, in addition to special performances including Claude VonStroke’s bass alter-ego Barclay Crenshaw and super duo Get Real with Green Velvet.
