Diskull Wins EDC Las Vegas Discovery Project By Remixing SIDEPIECE’s House Anthem “Acrobatic”

Running his very own label Groovy Bone, which has charted multiple times on the Beatport Top 100 and received support from celebrated DJs such as Shiba San, Showtek, and Dash Berlin, as well as consistently releasing intoxicating house gems, Diskull is well on his way towards establishing himself in the scene. Bringing together the groove of house, the bounce of breaks and the tenacity of modern bass music elements, Diskull’s productions has been released on labels such as Insomniac, Dirtybird, Box of Cats, Country Club Disco and Do Not Duplicate, while his talents just landed him a prestigious remix placement for SIDEPIECE.

Made up of producers Party Favor and Nitti Gritti, SIDEPIECE are a Grammy-nominated duo that recently announced their EDC Las Vegas Discovery Project in collaboration with Insomniac Records, looking for rising producers to remix their new single “Acrobatic” and get the chance to perform at EDC Las Vegas 2021. After learning about the competition by a friend, Diskull managed to enter and was elated to see his very own redo win and be officially released. As he reveals:

“This is my remix that won the 2021 EDC Discovery Project for SIDEPIECE’s “Acrobatic” single on Insomniac Records. My friend Tommie Sunshine sent an email out to all of his label artists encouraging us to enter the contest. I had this really cool half finished beat that I lost inspiration on so I pulled it out of the dust and slapped the Acrobatic vocal on it, and boom! It fit like a glove. I actually got goosebumps finishing it cause it felt like it just fit so perfectly. Fast forward a couple months later, to the Director of Insomniac calling my phone at 10pm on Wednesday and asking if I could zoom with the team the next day… little did I know it would be Nitti Gritti and Party Favor (SIDEPIECE) staring at me on the other end telling me I won the contest lol. The whole opportunity has been a blessing and I can’t wait to perform at EDC Las Vegas this year!”
