In a stunning revelation, DJ Snake took to the stage at Lost Lands under a new alias, ‘The Outlaw,’ marking his first performance as this mysterious new persona. Fans were caught off guard, as the announcement came unexpectedly via his Instagram just before the set.

Straying from his more popular vocal tracks, DJ Snake leaned into a heavier, darker vibe, showcasing an array of bass-heavy drops, dubstep, and even elements of hard techno. This shift resonated with the crowd, as he expertly catered to their energy despite the radical change in style.

The performance also raised eyebrows regarding the future of DJ Snake’s career. Since he announced his “Final Show” at Stade De France in 2025 back in December 2023, speculation about his potential retirement has been rampant. However, he has yet to confirm any plans to retire, leaving fans to wonder if ‘The Outlaw’ could serve as a rebrand or a new direction altogether.

Adding to the mystique, DJ Snake donned a black ski mask reminiscent of fellow artist Malaa, while a striking new logo—featuring a snake being stabbed—flashed on the screens behind him. The combination of anonymity and powerful visuals left many in awe, solidifying his impact on the Lost Lands festival.

With this bold step into a new identity, DJ Snake has sparked intrigue about the future of his music. Whether ‘The Outlaw’ is a temporary project or a lasting evolution, one thing is certain: fans are eager to see where this new journey leads.

Electronic music icon Skrillex performing a live DJ set with a focused expression, wearing his signature black t-shirt and hair in a bun, celebrating his 38th birthday with the 'Kora' EP release.

On the day of his 38th birthday, Skrillex has decided to treat his fans to a birthday present, a 3-track EP titled ‘Kora’.

Without any hints or announcements, Skrillex has just surprise-released a brand-new three-track EP, landing on the very day of his 38th birthday, a gift not to himself, but to the global dance music community.

The EP brings together a tightly curated lineup of collaborators and sees Skrillex continuing his recent streak of experimental, forward-thinking releases. Each track leans into different corners of underground and left-field club culture, while still carrying the unmistakable sonic signature that has defined his career.

Tracklist

1) “Yo Yan” with Sacred Family
2) “Someone Said” with Varg2™, Eurohead, Whitearmor, swedm®
3) “Kora” with Varg2™, Eurohead, Sillickbrain, swedm®

From the jump, ‘Yo Yan’ sets the tone with raw, percussive energy alongside Sacred Family, while ‘Someone Said’ dives deeper into distorted textures and avant-garde rhythms, fueled by contributions from Varg2™, Eurohead, Whitearmor, and swedm®. Closing things out, ‘Kora’ pushes even further into experimental territory, blending abrasive sound design with hypnotic momentum.

The project feels less like a traditional EP and more like a snapshot of Skrillex’s current creative mindset, boundaryless, collaborative, and rooted in underground scenes across the globe. It also reinforces his ability to spotlight emerging and niche artists, placing them front and center within his ever-evolving universe.

Dropping the release on his birthday feels intentional. At 38, Skrillex isn’t slowing down or leaning on nostalgia, he’s continuing to challenge expectations, redefine his sound, and surprise fans at every turn.

As always with Skrillex, this EP isn’t just something to listen to, it’s something to unpack. And knowing him, this surprise drop may only be the beginning of what’s still to come.

The 2 huge up and coming talents of AASKE and yurii have dropped their long-awaited genre blending single ‘Again.’

It stands as the young Swede’s debut on iFeature’s label Athos Records, and what a debut it is. ‘Again’ is built up of a series of excellent elements that allow you to explore the track and continuously find something new to wow you. The track has a very emotional tone thanks to the delightfully dreamy atmospherics which draw you in straight away. ‘Again’ has a variety of clever sound design giving the record a unique feel along with having some great use syncopated elements to provide a very interesting rhythm. All this paired with some glorious vocals and a well-balanced mix make for phenomenal track that shows why AASKE and yurii are ones to watch.

‘Again’ has gone on a long journey since the initial idea was birthed a year ago. It started out as a much heavier idea from yurii which then gradually shifted as the young pair kept working on it. As AASKE and yurii discovered new styles and influences they took ‘Again’ on a journey through different sounds till they refined it down to the track we have today. The end result is a much more melodic and emotional track than what was initially pitched, though its sharp edge and power hasn’t been lost along the way. For both artists ‘Again’ has been a big source of growth and learning as they’ve discovered new sounds and ventured into the unknown.

Despite AASKE and yurii being quite new to the music scene, they’ve produced a track with the skill you’d expect to see from far more seasoned artists. Although both artists have discovered many influences during the making of the record, ‘Again’ is anything but derivative. They’ve carved a unique sound and style that makes the track stand out and certainly gives high expectations for what they can do in the future.

The Rave Realtor Releases Debut Single ‘Ritual’ On Reinelex Records

The Rave Realtor Ritual

The Rave Realtor is flipping the script, once selling homes, now dropping heavy basslines with debut single ‘Ritual’.

The Rave Realtor is a DJ and producer who’s proving it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. Once a real estate agent showing homes and signing contracts, she’s now showing up behind the decks with a debut single that’s anything but ordinary. Her first official release, ‘Ritual’, just dropped on Reinelex Records, and it’s already making noise in the bass community.

The track is exactly what her story sounds like: dark, bold, and unapologetic. It opens with haunting choirs and winding melodies before crashing into a heavy, chest-rattling drop that feels built for rail-riders and dreamers alike. It’s cinematic, intense, and personal, her way of turning her journey of self-discovery into sound.

“This track is my story in sound,” she explains. “It’s about shedding old skins, embracing your power, and creating your own ritual of self-discovery.”

What makes her stand out isn’t just the music, it’s her path to get here. With roots in saxophone and electric guitar, she’s always had music in her blood, but it took walking away from her old career (and the support of people she once leaned on) to finally bet on herself. That leap has turned her into more than just another new artist, she’s a symbol of going all in, even when the odds are stacked against you.

With ‘Ritual’, The Rave Realtor is introducing herself as a fresh force in bass music, blending raw dubstep energy with a melodic edge that sets her apart. It’s a statement track, and one that hints at even bigger things to come.

‘Ritual’ is out now on all streaming platforms via Reinelex Records.

What inspired your artist name, “The Rave Realtor”?

I used to be a full-time real estate agent, but my heart was always in music. When I left that career to follow my passion, the name stuck. It represents both where I came from and the new world I’m building through sound.

Tell us about your debut track “Ritual.” What does it mean to you?

Ritual is the beginning of my story in sonic form. It’s about shedding old skins, stepping into your power, and creating your own ritual of self-discovery. The dark choirs and ominous melodies represent the struggle, while the drop is that release of energy when you finally embrace who you are.

How would you describe your sound to someone who hasn’t heard you yet?

It’s heavy, cinematic, and melodic. I love mixing rail-rattling dubstep energy with atmospheric textures and live instrument elements. My goal is to make tracks that hit hard on the floor but also carry emotional depth.

What was it like leaving real estate to pursue music full-time?

Honestly, it was terrifying at first. I lost support from friends and family who didn’t understand why I’d leave a stable career. But it forced me to rely on myself, and that’s why my brand is all about radical self-discovery showing others that chasing your wildest dream is worth it.

Who are some of your biggest influences in music?

I take inspiration from artists who push boundaries. Artists like SVDDN DEATH and Excision for the sheer power of their sound. I also draw from my background in saxophone and electric guitar, so a lot of my inspiration comes from outside EDM as well.

How does your live background in instruments shape your productions

It adds a layer of authenticity. I think in melodies and harmonies because of sax and guitar, so even in my heaviest drops, you’ll hear those melodic lines weaving through. It gives the music soul beyond the sound design.

What do you want fans to feel when they hear Ritual?

I want them to feel empowered. To feel like they can shed fear, doubts, or expectations and step into their own ritual of becoming who they’re meant to be. And if they’re headbanging on the rail while doing it, even better.

How do you see your brand – serpent imagery, goddess energy – tying into your music?

The serpent symbolizes transformation and renewal. For me, that energy flows into everything I do, from the visuals to the music. It’s about embracing your power and moving with grace, even in chaos.

What excites you most about releasing on Reinelex Records?

Reinelex has such a strong reputation for supporting boundary-pushing bass artists. To release my debut with them is an honor, and I feel like it’s the perfect home for Ritual.

What’s next for The Rave Realtor after this release?

Ritual is just the beginning. I have follow-up works and collaborations that expand on the same dark, melodic energy. Beyond that, I want to bring my sound to bigger stages, keep inspiring people to chase their own paths, and build a community around radical self-discovery
