Don Diablo is one of dance music’s perennially pioneering forces. He was recently named the “#1 most-played producer” on 1001Tracklists and is called “Future House’s Founding Father” by EDM.com. In 2018 he made the power move up to #7 on the coveted DJ Mag Top 100. An indisputable phenomenon, Don regularly averages upwards of 8.5 million monthly listeners, making him one of Spotify‘s “Top 300 Most-Listened to Artists” with over half-a-billion streams to date.
The life of a DJ on tour may seem like it’s a dream come true for some, but for many artists living that life they find it really hard. Constant flights, lack of sleep leading to over tiredness with no rest time in sight can send an artist onto a slippery slope. Last year we seen Dutch icon Hardwell take a break from touring to look after his mental health and he has yet to return. Recently taking to Twitter, future house pioneer Don Diablo announced that he would be cancelling multiple upcoming performances due to personal circumstances. It is unsure what these personal circumstances are for the Dutchman, but we wish him all the best and we hope he returns with a bang.
