Don Diablo United With AR/CO On Sultry New Single ‘Hot Air Balloon’!

With its release just around the corner, Don Diablo has teased another impeccable production from his upcoming studio album in the shape of ‘Hot Air Balloon’ in collaboration with AR/CO – out now on HEXAGON.

Teaming up with rising British/Australian duo AR/CO, ‘Hot Air Balloon’ sees Don step outside of his signature sonic style for the soulful indie-dance track. Harmoniously blending Don’s retro-futuristic electronic sound paired with AR/CO’s whimsical soundscapes, ‘Hot Air Balloon’ offers fans a playful piece of audio escapism.

“Really excited to finally share this collab with AR/CO. Mali and Leo are super not just super talented musicians but also amazing human beings. To me this record sounds like what freedom feels like. It’s our way to explore the world again after not being able to travel for a long time. My only advice would be to close your eyes, turn up the volume and enjoy the journey.”Don Diablo

Speaking about the collaboration, AR/CO said “Hot Air Balloon is the first of many soundscapes from the AR/CO imagination. It’s been great collaborating with someone forward thinking like Don! He’s one of the biggest DJ/producers on the planet, and we’re so happy to come together with a common vision for our song! We think it’s pretty special and a bit of magic for everyone.”

Whilst Don may be widely regarded as the founding father of the future house genre, his seemingly limitless ability to master new genres with an impressive familiarity is proof that the esteemed producer is in a class of his own. Always striking a balance between old and new, past, present and future, Don’s forthcoming album, FORΞVΞR, will further prove the Dutchman’s production credentials.

Born in the midst of the global pandemic, Mali-Koa and Leo Stannard – best known as collaborative duo AR/CO – have been hailed exciting newcomers to the electro scene – and quite rightfully so. Drawing on their respective Maori and Trinidadian heritage, their unique female/male dual vocals, fresh and playful sound and dreamlike productions have already garnered attention from the likes of globally renowned DJs Meduza, Frankie Wah, Will Clarke and most recently Don Diablo.
