Sikdope brings a fresh dose of his popular speed house, this time in the shape of ‘SOS’. With this record, the Polish taste maker DJ/Producer underscores his ability to deliver straight up party gems, blending classic rave sounds with cool contemporary beats – a blast of excitement for any dance floor. DJ support already includes fresh #1 DJ act Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and more, ‘SOS’ is out now on Spinnin’ Records.
Sikdope is going through quite the year. Known for recently acclaimed singles like 2018’s ‘Lost In The Blue’ and ‘Badder’, and this year’s ‘Raindrops’ and the widely popular Tiësto collab ‘My Whistle’, he’s by now renowned for his taste making qualities and trademark “speed house” sound.
As with early 2019 hit single ‘Raindrops’, where he nicely touched on classic rave sounds, Sikdope now bursts out again with a gust of his vintage dance floor energy. ‘SOS’ features raw, uptempo beats and cool break beats, building up to a bouncy breakdown and incredible drop. It’s hot, pumping club music, with old school rave melodies and vocals leading the way.
“I wanted to make a song that’s gonna be a perfect intro/opening for my sets. I started with this catchy vocal on the break and then leading towards massive drop. I was fortunate enough to test the song for a couple of weeks before releasing it on many festivals and the reaction from the crown was priceless. Everybody was asking me about my opening song as they never heard something like this before. I’m experimenting a lot with fast BPM’s lately and trying to cross boundaries between different genres, some people even say that I created new sub genre and they are calling it ‘speed house’.” – Sikdope
