Habstrakt Returns With A Stacked Remix EP Of ‘Show Me’, Including His Very Own VIP!

Habstrakt is looping back around with the official ‘Show Me’ remix EP on Insomniac Records. In the wake of his Insomniac label debut with ‘Show Me’ back in April, the French house sensation returns to the fold with a stacked lineup of remixers, who show up to toss some more fuel to the fire. Habstrakt sets the mood with the lead offering, as he serves up a barreling VIP that takes the high-octane cut to a new, deeper level.

On the rest of the package, he recruits a wide array of like-minded remixers that pull the track into their own distinct directions. LINK delivers a supercharged speed house rendition that zips through the self-described turbo sound, which has been taking off like crazy. French duo (and Insomniac Records regulars) put their groove specialties to the test, providing a thudding bounce in their truest of forms. For his rework, bass music veteran Cookie Monsta ticks the dubstep box with an onslaught of grimace-inducing synth play and full-bodied bottom-end. TYNAN flexes his bass house skills, as he rips through a screechy lead that is offset perfectly by clink-laden melodies. Closing out the package is Corrupt (UK), who offers up his signature bassline sensibilities from across the pond.

“There has to be a joke somewhere to be made about releasing a song that says ‘Show Me your house’ during a global pandemic lockdown but I can’t find it,” says Habstrakt. “I went and explored new sounds with the original and decided to take it back a notch to a more raw approach on this VIP. I’m incredibly proud of all the remixes, from the house twists from Bellecour and Corrupt to the dubstep legends Cookie Monsta & Tynan, with a special mention to a brand-new name in the scene, LINK.” All in all, it’s a well-rounded remix EP that, save for an incredible dubstep reimagining, sees some of the hottest names showing us their own slant on house—just as the original’s vocal hook intended.
