Meeting audience demand yet again, ILLENIUM releases the ‘ASCEND: Tour Edits’ EP. The platinum-certified Denver-based artist has curated four mashups initially performed for the first time and popularized among fans during the massive 2019-2020 ASCEND Tour in support of his chart-topping third full-length, ‘ASCEND’. These renditions of album staples became sought-after following the conclusion of the jaunt.
Perfecting his inimitable alchemy, he ignites ‘Crashing vs. Destiny’ (ft. Bahari) and strikes a seamless balance by uniting ‘Good Things Fall Apart’ and ‘Sad Songs’ on ‘Good Things Fall Apart vs. Sad Songs’ (with Jon Bellion, Said The Sky feat. Annika Wells). Additionally, he reimagines ‘Broken Ones’ as ‘Broken Ones Edit’ (ft. Anna Clendening) and merges ‘Gorgeous’ and ‘All Together’ on ‘Gorgeous vs. All Together’ (ft. Bipolar Sunshine & OEKIN).
He also recently re-upped ‘ASCEND’ with ‘ASCEND REMIXES’. The 24-track offering included contributions by top talent such as Snakehips, Breathe Carolina, Blanke, Ryan Hemsworth, Tiësto, Travis Barker, 3LAU, Slander, and William Black. Forbes did a deep dive into the project with an extensive track-by-track, which features a detailed perspective on the tracks courtesy of various remixers.
Meanwhile, ‘Good Things Fall Apart’ with Jon Bellion remains his biggest single to date, which was R.I.A.A Certified Platinum earlier this year. Not to mention, total ‘ASCEND’ album streams have eclipsed 1 billion and counting.
ILLENIUM has quietly blossomed into one of the biggest musical forces in the world. As of 2020, his cumulative streams eclipse 2 billion in total as he regularly averages 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
