Italy has been been an integral part of the electronic dance music scene for decades now, being the home for many big acts such as Benny Benassi, Robert Miles, and Gabry Ponte, along with recent risers Merk & Kremont and Dr. Shiver. One artist who has been working hard within the studio and on stage to bring his own name into that conversation is the very talented Dazzo. Not only a fantastic solo artist, but he has proved to be a team player too alongside Donis as Donis & Dazzo. However, we’ll be taking a look at his solo journey which began in 2015 and has turned him into one of the brightest sparks in the Italian dance music scene.
Davide Randazzo, aka Dazzo, is a 24-year-old artist based in the Italian city of Genoa. He has been studying music ever since he was a child and discovered his passion at the age of 11, attending middle school with a musical focus and then continuing the same musical path at high school. In these years of study, he had acquired the basics of composition and musical production, also undertaking the art of instrumentation, learning to play the guitar and the clarinet. After his studies at the age of 18, he decided to start his journey as a DJ and music producer. After participating as a guest in several clubs and festivals around Italy, he decided to officially dedicate himself to being an artist full time. Dazzo likes to define his music genre as innovative, mixing between electronic music culture and the emotion of pop and rock music, but it is constantly evolving, since every day he tries to make himself unique to get to the heart of those listening to him.
Since he started performing live in 2014 in different clubs and festivals, he understood that all this had to turn into more than a simple hobby. Particularly since he started producing and officially releasing singles and featuring with other emerging artists, he realized that this would immediately become his path. As for his main projects, he produced and officially released 3 singles between 2019 and 2021: the first and second single ‘Peter Parke’ and ‘Adrenalina’, in collaboration with the emerging Genoese singers Helios and Sofiaa, and the third single ‘Jackpot’, in collaboration with the singer Simone Reo, aka Mose, coming from the Talent Show of Mediaset “Amici 17” by Maria De Filippi broadcast in prime time on Canale 5. Now with the tough year behind him and the dance music scene in recovery mode, Dazzo is ready to get back to what he does best with releasing awesome music for us.
