Jacob Colon has kept busy these past months, releasing great quality tracks back-to-back, while hosting his own radio show ‘Made to Move’ and definitely showed what his sound and projects are made of. After releasing ‘What We About’, his latest track, which features a Latin-inspired groove and House funk elements, are characteristics of Colon’s sound. The artist sat down with us to talk more about the track.
Were there any artists or songs that inspired you while making ‘What We About’?
I didn’t have any particular artists in mind. In regards to artists, I was listening to guys like John Summit, Travis Scott, or Ye.
Do you have a favorite part of the track?
Not really on this one. I like the vibe throughout the track.
How does ‘What We About’ compare to your previous works?
I’d say the mood of the song is similar to my previous tracks, but the sounds are different and the drums have a nice and unique rhythm.
How would you sum up ‘What We About’ in 3 words?
Groovy, Upbeat, and Unique.
What are you hoping to accomplish with this track?
I’m always looking to put out something new and different to stand out against the rest of the crowd.
How would you describe the track to someone who hasn’t heard it before?
It’s a blend of rap music, tribal drums, and trappy synths that are very moody and catchy.
Who would you like to see supporting this release?
The world!!!
What other projects are you currently working on at the moment?
I have a playlist of unique edits that I will be posting on SoundCloud to give listeners a taste of my sound with popular songs coming from Rihanna, Bad Bunny, and others. Stay tuned.

Be different in your productions.
