Two artists who need no introduction as the perfect pairing, Jake Silva and Frankie Sims are kicking off 2024 with the release of their brand new collaboration ‘Focus Is You’. This release sees both artists continue their streak of collabs, bringing the total number to 13, not to mention the countless remixes, bootlegs, and edits they’ve uploaded to Soundcloud.
On one side of this collab we’ve got Jake Silva, a house music DJ and Producer based in New York City. Since making his debut in 2023, Jake Silva has released on major labels such as Warner, Sony, Spinnin’ Records and Revealed Recordings, gaining over 3 million streams in the process. On stage, Jake Silva has performed at Governors Ball, Marquee, Lavo, SWNW, Sony Hall, and Nebula, supporting major artists like Alan Walker, Claptone, Sigala, and Nicky Romero just to name a few.
On the other side we’ve got Frankie Sims, a fellow New York City based DJ and producer. Having also made his debut in 2023, Frankie Sims has graced the roster of the likes of Spinnin’ Records, Protocol Recordings, and Soave Records, amassing over 2 million streams in that time. The 24 year has received support from industry heavyweights Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Romero, Alan Walker, and more, further proving the success that is at Frankie Sims‘ feet.
‘Focus Is You’ is yet another gem of a collaboration from this pair of artists. Jake Silva and Frankie Sims take a deeper approach for this single, putting emphasis on deeper tones vocals, backing them up with atmospheric synths that add to the vibe. As the single progresses, the duo playfully chop the vocals which adds a catchy feeling to the single while rhythmic and groove basslines carry the energy of the single. Yet another incredible collab, this is certainly not the last we’ve heard of both Jake Silva and Frankie Sims.
