Over the past few years, James Hype has been establishing himself as one of the most skilled DJs in the world performing incredibly complicated mixes in front of thousands upon thousands of people. But now he wants to bring his talents to smaller venues with a ‘Get Closer UK Tour’ where he wants to go to venues across the UK with capacities of less than 600 people.
In the past year alone, James Hype has been amazing crowds at some massive events such as Amsterdam Music Festival, EDC Mexico and has played at some of the UK’s greatest venues like Drumsheds, Warehouse Project and many more. He also found himself storming into the Official UK Top 40 with his 2022 track ‘Ferrari’ and has recently released the infectious ‘Drums’ with Kim Petras that has been blasting out in clubs across the world.
It’s no secret that clubs in the UK have been struggling ever since the nightmare that was COVID as the cost of living has risen to the point where people can’t afford to go out. With this, many clubs have had to shut down which is slowly killing off the once thriving nightlife that the UK had which is an awful thing to be happening.
James Hype is no stranger to doing ‘Get Closer’ DJ sets which offer fans the opportunity to see his skills up close and in a much more personal space. Now with this new plan for a ‘Get Closer UK Tour’, he has said he is “trying to do something for the people” of the country that he is from. Doing this tour is not only something for the fans but will also support the small venues that have been suffering in these hard times. No venues have been announced yet, but with him aiming to go to venues that most other DJ’s wont, keep an eye out for when dates start getting announced.
