Continuing a stellar run of new records, multi-BRIT nominated Joel Corry is back with ‘Dance Around It’ – an infectious slice of future-facing dance music alongside fast-rising star, Caity Baser.
Getting in the studio to record together after Joel attended Caity’s sold-out headline show at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum just two weeks ago, ‘Dance Around It’ is the latest in a series of bubbling new dance records that have firmly set the tone for Joel’s year.
Following hot on the heels of the sugary-sweet, bubblegum house of Joel’s ‘Do U Want Me Baby?’ with Billen Ted & featuring Elphi, ‘Dance Around It’ sees him collide with one of 2023’s breakout names.
“‘Dance Around It’ has been killing it in my club sets”, Joel explains. “Working with Caity on this record has been so much fun, she’s really talented and I love her energy. The track feels super fresh and it really shows off Caity’s personality. I’m buzzing to ‘Dance Around It’ all summer! ”
Revered for her both-barrels, conversational tone and witty, relatable social commentary, Caity Baser kicked off the year by claiming her first ever UK Top 40 single in the form of ‘Pretty Boys’, which peaked at #26 back in March. She’s since also recently completed a sold-out 10 date UK tour, culminating in her biggest ever show at O2 Kentish Town Forum.
“We had SO much fun making this, and it turned out to be an absolute banger if I do say so myself!”, says Caity of ‘Dance Around It’. “My boy Joel smashed it making the track, and the lyrics are true to my actual life. Anyone that knows me knows I basically spend all my time dancing around. So this is about escaping daily life and losing your shit, forgetting about everything else.”
