Jonas Aden Unleashes New Anthem ‘I Don’t Speak French (Adieu)’!

One of Scandinavia’s most exciting breakthrough talents, Jonas Aden, just dropped a rugged and raspy slice of electro-driven house that will undoubtedly stir your primal instincts into letting loose. Unveiling his latest studio offering on Tiësto’s mighty Musical Freedom label, the Norwegian producer makes a strong statement with new single ‘I Don’t Speak French (Adieu)’ featuring RebMoe.

There’s a distinctive energetic flow to a Jonas Aden record that it is able to position everywhere from the hyphy, thumping groove of opening sets to the rapid-fire beats of a peak-time performance, and with ‘I Don’t Speak French (Adieu)’ , Jonas Aden proves once more that his music is made for genre-hopping. As is the attention to detail on this new single’s production that telegraphs the young producers desire not to be classified by one style. From big drums to a swooning glitchy melody and vocal part ‘I Don’t Speak French (Adieu)’ is simply put; abstract and funky!

Following an 18-month sabbatical from releasing music, Don Diablo finally managed to convince Jonas to release ‘I Dip You Dip’ before 2018 drew to a close. Don Diablo first heard the record in Brooks’ set at Tomorrowland 2018 weekend one. Don Diablo quickly followed up with Jonas Aden and in under a week had signed the record to his label, Hexagon, and then played it in his weekend two set on the Tomorrowland mainstage to the over 80,000 strong crowd and countless fans watching online.

Further support came from the likes of Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, Mike Williams, Alan Walker, Blasterjaxx, Afrojack, R3hab, and many more, leading it to swiftly overthrow Fisher’s seemingly unstoppable record ‘Losing It’ and take the #1 spot on 1001tracklist.com’s influential Trending Chart.

Since his return Jonas Aden has also released ‘Strangers Do’ on Tiësto’s esteemed deep house AFTR:HRS imprint and was invited to remix for the latest Zedd and Katy Perry single ‘365’. The young Norwegian’s remix drew positive attention across the blogsphere and was also used by Zedd in his Coachella performance with Katy Perry earlier this month (Zedd also recently supported ‘I Don’t Speak French (Adieu)’ in his Ultra Miami Set!)

The release of ‘Strangers Do’ was a significant moment for Jonas Aden. Coming about following an encounter with the legendary Dutch pioneering DJ after Jonas’ friend and peer Alan Walker invited him to a show. The trio ended up having dinner and drinks together and Jonas walked away with a direct line to one of his heroes. Having waited patiently until he had the right record to send, Tiësto replied to Jonas almost instantaneously, requesting to sign the record to his label AFTR:HRS.

Such was the success of Jonas debut outing on AFTR:HRS that Tiësto quickly snapped up Jonas for his longstanding label, Musical Freedom. Which is where the story for this latest single ‘I Don’t Speak French (Adieu)’ begins and now continues for one of Scandinavia’s most exciting young electronic artists thanks to an exciting new partnership with Musical Freedom.
