A couple of months ago, millions of fans finally got their hands on possibly the biggest bigroom ID of 2020 from renowned artists 3 Are Legend (Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike + Steve Aoki), Sandro Silva & Justin Prime, released on the influential imprint Smash The House although it was meant to release on Rave Culture at first.
BUT, things didn’t go quite as expected and many fans were left disappointed by the final version.
Back in February 2019, W&W played the 1st version of the aforementioned track, at the time called ‘Epic Ball’. According to 1001tracklists, the track was made by the Dutch veterans Justin Prime & Sandro Silva who are responsible for some of the most known bigroom tracks of all time. Sandro Silva is known for his 2011 Quintino collaboration ‘Epic’ whereas Justin Prime made his breakthrough collaborating with Showtek on ‘Cannonball’ in 2012. The duo joined forces by the end of 2019 and created a mix between their 2 aforementioned hits but things changed shortly when they announced on social media that 3 Are Legend are also involved.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike premiered the final version, this time titled ‘Raver Dome’, in their Tomorrowland 2019 set. The track was heavily changed. Eventually, the final release had its breakdown influenced by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike‘s collaboration with W&W called ‘Arcade’. The drop also featured a different kick that didn’t fit the overall track structure. Some unsatisfied fans even started making remakes of the track because they didn’t find the final version good enough. W&W‘s Facebook fan group is full of those remakes and we honestly cannot blame these people.
Despite all this, there is still hope for the original version because Sandro & Justin are working on releasing the first version without 3 Are Legend in the title. Portuguese duo KEVU are allegedly involved as well after sharing an Instagram story featuring the break from the first version and mentioned Justin & Sandro in it.
