When it comes to releasing your debut single, very few can ask for a start as Kelvin Wiedenhoff has just made. With all the pressure of making the perfect first impression as he enters the electronic dance music scene, Kelvin blows us away as he unveils ‘Not Easy’.
Working as an influencer, model, and most importantly an LGBTQ+ rights activist, it was super important for Kelvin Wiedenhoff to have a message behind this single and he certainly did just that. Setting the tone with a cosmic frequency fused into elegant keys, Kelvin Wiedenhoff opens this single with the emotive lyrics, “don’t let me fall again, I’ve been with you when you needed help…”. The track expands with a luscious bassline and textured risers to deliver a pulsing and anthemic ode to the LGBTQ+ community.
‘Not Easy’ tells the story of a gay boy who always helps everyone. When he comes out of the closet, he is rejected by his best friends and some family members. It’s heart-wrenching yet euphoric, and Kelvin conveys this emotion perfectly in the opus. The song comes with a cinematic music video featuring an array of characters delivering emotive performances, and a stunning single art with a spectrum painted onto the face of the rising artist.
