A new year comes with new ambitions, resolutions, and projects. 2023 arrived and Ken Bauer is ready to share what he has in store for the coming months. We sat down with him to talk more about what his plans are for the new year.
Hey, 2023 is here and we’d like to know what are your hopes for this year regarding your music career?
I hope that that I will be able to spend more time in the studio and increase my release schedule.
What are your top 3 resolutions for this new year?
Release more music, spend more time with my family, and start exercising more and eat healthier.
Do you have any releases in the pipelines for the upcoming months?
Yes, I have a release with Yantosh scheduled on Future Rave Music in January and another collab scheduled in February. I also have a few collaborations and guest releases on other labels as well in the pipelines, which I am looking forward to.
If you could pick any event, any stage, any place: where would you like to perform in 2023?
Tomorrowland.
And following on from that, if the world was your oyster for selection, who would you like to collaborate with this new year?
There are so many artists I respect and admire so it would be hard to pick one. But to mention a few: Achilles, David Guetta, Olly James, Mark Roma, Justus, Maddix.
Are there any new hobbies or activities you’d like to try in 2023?
I really need to visit the gym more often and it happens to me my new year resolution as well.
Are there any new skills or new gear that you’d like to implement to your studio in 2023?
I don’t need any new gear. I have everything I want. But I need to do clean up the studio and throw away a bunch of stuff so it looks more professional and inspiring.
From a production standpoint, what would you say is the number one area you would like/need to invest time into in order to develop your production level?
I need to finish more stuff quicker. I get tired of my ideas before completing them, meaning I have hundreds of track ideas just wanted to be finished.
Any new genres you’d like to explore next year?
I felt in love with Future Rave in 2020 and there is still room for evolution in the sound and I am doing my best to contribute to the genre with both my own tracks, as well as our label releases.
New sub-genres come and go into fashion every year, what are your predictions for 2023?
I think 2023 is the year Future Rave will really explode. I have been running my own Future Rave Music label for 2 years already and with Spinnin’ launching their new sub-label Future Rave with David Guetta & MORTEN we will definitely see even more releases in the genre.
Besides yourself, which artists or labels should people follow this year?
You should keep an eye on A-ttak Records which is another great Future Rave label. Artists to checkout which I predict great things for in 2023 is Nanoviola, Yantosh & ALEX LNDN.
Make a prediction for 2023 about the world or music and we’ll try and catch you this time next year to see if it came true!
Future Rave will get more labels launching in 2023 and we will have more Future Rave tracks in the top 10 charts.
Do you have a message for your followers for new year?
Thank you! Your support means the world for me and I have great things coming your way that you will all be involved with!
