Global superstars Kygo and Gryffin have linked up with UK singer-songwriter Calum Scott on new single ‘Woke Up In Love’, out now. A rousing, heartstring-tugging ballad, ‘Woke Up In Love’ combines delicate instrumentation and rousing electronics with Calum Scott’s tender vocals. It follows Gryffin and MØ’s smash collaborative single ‘Reckless’, a track that has amassed upwards of 5 million Spotify streams.
Kygo is a Norwegian DJ and producer who garnered international attention with his remix of the track ‘I See Fire’ by Ed Sheeran and his single ‘Firestone’ with Conrad Sewell. He also became the fastest artist to reach 1 billion Spotify streams, and recently remixed ‘Let Somebody Go’, the track from Coldplay and Selena Gomez.
Gryffin made his breakthrough in 2016 with two singles showcasing his melodic take on dance music: ‘Heading Home’ featuring Josef Salvat (which shot to #1 on the Spotify US and Global Viral charts) and the Bipolar Sunshine collaboration ‘Whole Heart’. In addition, his 2017 smash single ‘Feel Good’ – with Illenium and Daya – peaked at #18 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. He then collaborated with pop icon Carly Rae Jepsen on ‘OMG’ and young Swedish talent Maia Wright on 2019 smash ‘Body Back’, both singles that featured on his acclaimed debut album Gravity.
Calum Scott became known worldwide after competing on the British talent contest Britain’s Got Talent, where he performed his version of Robyn‘s hit ‘Dancing on My Own’. After coming sixth in the contest, he released his version as a single the following year, which peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart and became Britain’s best-selling single of summer 2016.
