The trio of Noisia, comprising of Dutch producers Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger are largely regarded as one of the most distinctive, powerful acts to emerge in bass music. Known as one of the trendsetters for bass music over the past 20 years, their production techniques are referenced and praised across the entire electronic music scene with many artists being influenced by the trio. Their extensive body of work has delivered so many gems that if we tried to list them, we would be here for years. Recently taking to social media, the group have announced that after 20 years together they will be splitting up and pursuing separate projects.
The trio will do one last fare-well tour, continue their radio show and also finish and release the music that they’ve been working on. The project as a whole will end in 2020 with the trio splitting up to pursue separate projects. The trio have also confirmed that they are still friends, stating “We are still friends. We will still make music together in some shape or form,” which is great news for fans of the group.
