With the unfortunate cancellation of festivals all across the globe due to COVID-19, many artists, label owners, and festival organizers have sought out new and innovative ways to deliver a dose of electronic goodness straight to your location. With this being the case, live streaming a DJ set from unique locations has become a very popular idea, with Martin Garrix performing from a boat (here), Don Diablo performing in his own swimming pool (here), and most recently, W&W performing an epic virtual concert (here).
Stripping it back and taking this idea back to its original form, SiriusXM threw their own online audio-only festival with many sets from big acts such as Afrojack, Alesso, deadmau5, Oliver Heldens, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren, Don Diablo and many more. However, rewinding it back all the way to 2011, SiriusXM treated us to an incredible exclusive live set from Avicii!
With all of his wonderful melodic sounds and seamless mixing, a rising Avicii showcased in this mix exactly why he was being tipped as the next best thing in the electronic dance music world. Featuring iconic singles and mashups such as ‘Levels’, ‘I Found Bromance‘, ‘Blessed’, ‘My Feelings For You’, and many more, this 2011 set takes us back to the golden years when Avicii was taking control of the EDM world.
