Featuring ethereal production and lyrical themes inspired by a long-distance relationship with his now-wife, Luquado has finally shared his debut single “Love.” True to his DIY ethos, Luquado has produced, written and sang on “Love,” as well as designed and animated the visuals. The single, which is driven by heavenly melodies and heartfelt vocal lines, boasts a sound inspired by artists such as BT, WYNNE, Mako, and Forester, and marks the first of many releases Luquado has lined up for this year.
“This is a really personal song. I wanted to evoke the introspection that comes from late-night drives when your mind quiets down and your thoughts can surprise you,” says the artist about the song.
Luquado spent the majority of 2020 working on the next chapter of his music career, yet has been active within the music industry for the past two decades. He has produced and worked in funk, rock, pop, hip-hop, and acapella as a producer and/or artist, seeing his projects placed on national and NYC television and on the radio. A true storytelling artist, he started playing the piano as a child, and later fell in love with music production due to his fascination with computers and video games.
