If you have ever attended or watched a Martin Garrix live set you will have experienced him bring an unmatched energy and aura to each and every show. These high energy antics which include jumping off the platform which his equipment is held on had unfortunately led to an injury which caused him to cancel multiple shows. During a set in Las Vegas on May 25th, Martin Garrix suffered a serious ankle injury which required surgery and rest time. Never one to stay grounded, he seeked advice from his specialist and got the go-ahead to begin touring again with his return show being at Ushuaïa in Ibiza on July 4th.
“GREAT NEWS!!! Just came back from a check-up with the specialist and I am super excited to share that my recovery has been going very well up until now. This means that I will be able to do my first show again next week, which will be the opening of my Ushuaïa residency on July 4th, and I can’t wait! It will obviously take quite some time before everything will be back to normal and I will be able to jump around on stage like I usually do, but for now I’m just super happy that I can start playing shows again. Thank you so much for all your support and understanding and I hope to see you at one of the shows soon! 🙏🏼❤️” – said Martin
