To celebrate May 5th around the world, Martin Garrix will broadcast a unique one-hour music special from a boat. The live set can be seen on May 5th starting at 7 PM CEST on Garrix’s YouTube channel.
The brand new live set will see Garrix perform his biggest hits as well as some exclusive tracks while sailing the gorgeous waterways in The Netherlands as the sun sets. Shot in 4K and 8K UHD, the special will air in conjunction with Cinco de Mayo (USA and Mexico), Liberation Day (The Netherlands), Children’s Day (Korea), and National Teachers Day (USA).
Garrix: ”I wanted to do something like this for a long time. Especially now when I’m not able to travel and do any shows it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally do it. I hope that this will bring happiness and a moment of celebration on the 5th of May, since we are not able to celebrate it together this year.”
For the special, Garrix has teamed up with Insight TV, who will air the set as well at 7 PM in all territories. To capture Garrix’s exhilarating performance, the Netherlands-based production company Bad Birds set up a state-of-the-art network of a helicopter, drone, and boat-mounted cameras.
Be sure to tune in on May 5th at 7 PM CEST on stmpd.co/MGLIVEBOAT.
