Making their debut on tastemaker label CloudKid, Mel Ody and Dominic Donner just shared their latest collaboration, crafting tasteful indie vibes on “One To Blame.” Dominic Donner’s impactful and personal storytelling works wonders on top of Mel Ody’s engaging instrumental, that is driven by a catchy guitar riff and organic drum work.
Mel Ody has been working hard as ever this year, releasing some of his best music to date. Crafting his own path, he is carefully establishing himself within the scene with his explosive yet intricate music, that brings together orchestral elements with electronic sounds.
“‘One To Blame’ was a real challenge for me, but I’m always looking to get out of my comfort zone as a producer,” revealed Mel Ody When I was making the instrumental, I was hearing this kind of indie-pop song in my head that had this orchestral-electronic flair to it, and I love how it turned out. Dominic Donner’s vocal tone and lyrical content took it to the next level, I couldn’t have found a better person than him so I’m really happy we connected so well and brought this tune to life.”
