New EDM Friday: Alesso, Alok, Alan Walker, Armin van Buuren & More!

Alesso & Katy Perry – When I’m Gone (VIP Mix)
Alesso decides to take his collab with superstar Katy Perry to the next level with this epic VIP mix, emphasizing the ecstatic energy of the original, pulling it from the radio airwaves and back toward the dancefloor ready for the clubs. Through Alesso’s adrenaline-pumping combination of skyward electronics, stadium-filling synths, and thundering drums, ‘When I’m Gone (VIP Mix)’ adds heightened emotion to Katy Perry’s stirring lyrics about a failed relationship.

Alok, Alan Walker ft. KIDDO – Headlights
Just 2 months into 2022 and Alok had already treated us to 6 amazing singles and he’s not slowing down just yet. For his 7th, he links up with the ever-rising Alan Walker to bring us a melodic piece of brilliance featuring vocals from the amazing KIDDO. A single that blends each artists styles perfectly, this one makes us wonder why they’ve not worked together sooner!

Eran Hersh – Ale Ale
His first release on the Hurry Up Slowly imprint, ‘Ale Ale’ is an Afro-inspired track that stems from his deep Middle Eastern roots, curated with hypnotic elements that are sonically diverse. Released just over 1 week ago, ‘Ale Ale’ sits firmly in the #2 spot on Beatport‘s Afro House charts with its sights on that top spot. An elegant track, Eran Hersh expertly uses groovy undertones and matches them with tribal Middle Eastern sounds that blend and mesh together perfectly. The overall tone of the single is one that doesn’t leave anything to be desired as each element that comes and goes keeps the listener interested with that groovy and melodic style making you want to keep playing that repeat button.

Benjamin Storset – Altitude
Aptly titled ‘Altitude’, this one from Benjamin Storset brings us right to the peak of progressive. Kicking off his catalog for 2022 in style, Benjamin showcases his elegant yet powerful progressive style and it works wonders. The high toned melody is super uplifting and when matched with a subtle yet power bassline, the results are a mainstage anthem that should be played all across the globe.

Armin van Buuren, Reinier Zonneveld, Roland Clark – We Can Dance Again
Having giving us the massive hits ‘Free’ and ‘Alive’, Roland Clark is back and he brings two top notch producers with him. Teaming up with Armin van Buuren and Reinier Zonneveld, ‘We Can Dance Again’ is a strong techno single which is build around acid synths. A tune that gets your heart rate up and your feet stomping, this one is sure to take the underground scene by storm.
