Closing out a massively successful year in 2019, Over Easy have treated us to a magnificent new single entitled ‘Don’t Know You’ featuring the amazing vocals of Ashley Mehta. The track features their best production and songwriting to date, along with catchy vocal chops and an amazing vocal performance from Ashley that is coming to you just in time to finish out2019 strong.
Originally formed in 2016 while attending Michigan State University, James Sullivan and Max Press combine a number of different styles and influences in their productions, inspired by all kinds of genres such as house, progressive house, future bass, and today’s pop. In 2019, Over Easy burst into the scene with official remixes for Two Friends, Aash Mehta, Heather Sommer, and TELYKast. Their penultimate release of the year, ‘Out of Time’ with Luma was released under EDX’s imprint, Sirup Records and received tons of support across the world.
‘Don’t Know You’ kicks off with a gentle guitar riff that is combined with creative vocal samples that set the tone for an easy on the ears, high-quality production. It doesn’t take too long before we are introduced to Ashley Mehta‘s powerful vocals that take center stage. The track then builds towards the drop with rising synths that build anticipation. The drop hits with no disappointment as the previously mentioned innovative vocal work is re-introduced with deep-lying bass lines and euphoric synths joining in to bring this track to the next level.
