EDM producer, composer, and songwriter Pat Triano returned to the spotlight in 2021 after a long hiatus from music-making. Since then the New Jersey native has been on fire, releasing a half dozen genre-bending house bangers. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember his songs ‘Goodbye Summer’, ‘Lullaby’, and ‘Fade Away’. His sound mixes tropical and deep house vibes with pop hooks, emo guitars, and disco grooves.
‘Dance Again’ is the latest single from Pat Triano, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 5, 2022. Dramatic, minor-key ambient synths introduce the track. The singer enters the mix with a subdued and wistful narrative as he looks back at childhood. A kick drum slowly introduces a beat that builds into a house groove. Synth arpeggios dance on a driving house beat as deep bass tones rumble the floor.
Pat Triano likes to throw a twist into his music. Sonically, he keeps fans on their toes by infusing his dance music with the sounds of multiple musical genres. Lyrically his earlier work covered the familiar EDM ground of romance and summer fun. On ‘Dance Again’ he takes us deeper as he ponders the passing of time and the impermanent transience of life. He sets his existential crisis to a banging EDM track.
