Paul Sawyer has been on some-what of a roll these last 18 months with a number of high quality releases. From his series of Greek mythology-inspired progressive house monsters, which were picked up by many of the major players including Solarstone who converted ‘Poseidon’ to play in his live sets, to recently remixing Zero 7 singer Sophie Barker. Releasing on highly respected labels such as Perfecto, Pure Progressive, ICONYC, A Rec and Manual Music in that time.
The very talented British producer has been a well-known entity within the scene and has graced some of the world’s finest electronic music labels with his unique and lasting productions. Paul has developed a unique signature style for his productions which are full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided him to where he is to today and embodies the sound he now personifies.
His remix of the hit ‘The Longest Road’ by Morgan Page brings out all the elements that we are used to hearing from a Paul Sawyer production. The remix begins with soft atmospheric pads combined with drum loops that slowly progress into the main section of the remix. It is not long before Paul brings out his melodic style with uplifting arpeggios taking to the fore-front of the remix. This remix is topped off perfectly with the addition of the original vocals which blend and compliment the synths and sounds that Paul has used magnificently. One of Paul‘s all-time favorite tracks gets a rework in his usual style and it does not disappoint.
