Pierce Fulton, the incredibly talented American artist, has sadly passed away at the very young age of 28. Pierce Fulton is mostly known for his progressive house singles ‘Kuaga (Lost Time)’, ‘Landmines’, and ‘Waiting For Tomorrow’ alongside Martin Garrix. In a lengthy post shared on Pierce Fulton‘s social media channels, Griff, brother of Pierce, revealed that Pierce had sadly passed away after a long struggle with mental health.
Throughout the statement, Griff speaks about his brother, what goals he had, and how much he cared about the fans. Shortly after that, he spoke about the importance of mental health and leaves a message for anyone else who may be going through what Pierce was. He also thanked everyone who has supported his brother during his career and his life. He closed the post by saying how anyone with memories of Pierce can send them on the website and that they would be starting an organization in Pierce‘s memory to make a positive change in the world.
The statement from Griff read: “Hi everyone – this is Pierce’s older brother Gruff. It breaks my heart to share with you that Pierce passed away on Thursday evening following a tragic struggle with his mental health.”
“Pierce was so incredibly full of life, love & unimaginable creativity. He was kind, caring, thoughtful, silly & sweet. The most magical person that we were all so blessed to know, hear & see. He was an expert at absolutely anything he set his mind to & had this incredible ability to retain knowledge unlike anyone I’ve ever known. The only word that truly can describe his abilities is genius. He could captivate a room of strangers in the blink of an eye with only one hope – to make everyone feel loved, comfortable & welcomed. He traveled the globe for the better part of a decade doing what he loved & cemented powerful friendships with so many wonderful people along the way, accomplishing more in his career in music than most could dream to accomplish in a lifetime. He loved you all so much & wanted to give you everything he had; and he had so much to give.”
“This past year has been an incredibly difficult time for everyone. If you or anyone you know has been struggling, please take your intuition seriously, speak up about your feelings, and reach out for help. Each and every one of you matters and are loved more than you can ever know.”
“I ask that all of you focus your energy towards the future, towards making a difference through love & compassion, towards staying in touch with the people close to you, towards learning & understanding more about what so many of us might be going through, often hidden deep beneath so many layers. Be kind to yourself, so that you may also be kind to others. Pause & listen. Observe your surroundings with open eyes and an open heart. Life is full of endless beauty, no matter how difficult things may feel — a brighter day is right around the corner.”
“To everyone out there who listened to his songs, thank you. To everyone out there who bought tickets to his shows & danced with him, thank you. To everyone out there who was lucky enough to cross paths with him at any point in life & made him feel loved, thank you. Pierce is survived by his mother Brook, his father Mike, his sister Addie, his wife Anastasia & myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our extended family & friends for all of the support, prayers, positive thoughts, messages, food, flowers & love. Thank you to the first responders & everyone in the St. Vincent’s ICU – you are all truly some of the most extraordinary people we’ve ever met. Thank you to David Rowe – our guardian angel.”
“Pierce’s memory will live on forever through all of us & through all of his music. If anyone wishes to send condolences, photos or videos with Pierce over the years, your favorite songs of his, or just a note, anything at all that you feel like sharing with him & his family – please send them over to piercepiercefulton.com”
“Our family will be devoted to starting an organization in Pierce’s memory which will focus on real & lasting positive change. Take care of yourselves, all of you. If anyone out there ever feels alone & doesn’t know where to look for help, you are not alone. We will all get through it together.”
