Prilly And Selva Unleash Their ‘Shooting Stars’!

Indonesian superstar Prilly has successfully teamed up with rising Brazilian dance act Selva for an undeniable early 2020 highlight. ‘Shooting Stars’ perfectly brings together the pop-dance sentiments as expected from these powerhouses, building on inventive beats and an emotionally driven chorus – out now on Spinnin’ Records Asia.

Following impressive first releases by BEAUZ and Ken Takano & Patrick Moreno, the recently launched label Spinnin’ Records Asia continues its hot streak with this powerful third single. Underlining the label’s mission statement like no other, this record is brought by a collab between Asian and globally performing acts, resulting in a unique sound that leans on both pop, dance and their own trademark qualities.

‘Shooting Stars’ features Indonesian actress/singer Prilly, known for major acting roles in her home country (gaining her millions of fans and multiple awards) but also various single releases; since her 2014 debut ‘Fall In Love’ she presented several records in her native language. Now, she’s teamed up with up and coming Brazilian DJ/producer duo Selva, that’s been building a strong reputation with its pop-infused dance records, including 2018’s global hit ‘Miss U’, a collab with DJ superstar Alok.

So, what happens when these two forces team up? At first, an inspired pop gem that leans on inventive beats and rhythms, while Prilly‘s sultry vocals pave the way towards a mesmerizing chorus. ‘Shooting Stars’ is more than it initially reveals, though. Between the lines of those feelgood vibes, the record cleverly brings a sentimental edge, courtesy of Selva‘s melancholic chords and Prilly‘s flexible voice. Touching stuff that’s bound to spark up enthusiasm all over the globe.

“‘Shooting Stars’ is not just a song to me, but it’s also a representation of a friendship between two different worlds. Despite our distance, I’m so grateful for crossing paths with Selva and to have an opportunity to collaborate and produce this first international single of mine. I am proud to be working with Selva and hope my fans will love ‘Shooting Stars’, and enjoy our music.” – Prilly

“‘Shooting Stars’ is the perfect example of honest music,  friendship and hard work. No time zone difference, no 4am calls, no language barriers stopped us from getting together with our friends and putting together this beautiful song. We’re very proud of ‘Shooting Stars’.” – Selva

“With Spinnin’ being the largest dance label in the world, it has shown focus and interest in Asia and recently launched Spinnin’ Records Asia together with WMG. Following music from BEAUZ, Indonesian/Taiwanese DJ duo (based in Los Angeles), Prilly has been selected as another key release by Spinnin’ Records Asia. I’m very proud and excited about the trust this label put in Indonesian artists. ‘Shooting Stars’ – a collaboration between Prilly and Brazilian DJ/producer duo Selva, will certainly bring people around the world dancing together” – Toto Widjojo, Managing Director Warner Music Indonesia
