Spanish startup duo Low Blow returns to the ranks of Nicky Romero‘s Protocol Recordings with their new single “Losing Control,” which brings a unique sound to the imprint’s repertoire. Opening with a driving house beat and soulful vocals, the track delivers a heavy dose of funk with a jazzy, bouncy drop. With its uplifting melodies and lyrics that conjure up images of all-night dancing, “Losing Control” is a gem unmistakably made for club play as the world begins to return to a normal state. Low Blow previously released on Toolroom, Armada, and remixed Nicky Romero & Sick Individuals‘ “Only For You” in December of 2020. We look forward to more from these talented artists this summer!
Founded by Nicky Romero, Protocol Recordings is one of the leading imprints for innovative electronic dance music. It boasts a roster of heavy-hitters, complemented with immensely talented up-and-comers such as Thomas Gold, Deniz Koyu, Teamworx, Futuristic Polar Bears, Trilane, Marcus Santoro, Stadiumx, Tim van Werd, and Nicky Romero himself, to name a few. All with a diverse range of sounds that are guaranteed to light up a dance floor. Among them is Low Blow, a Spanish duo with an eclectic and energetic sound. Their edgy electro-house originals and remixes made their way to TurnItUp Muzik. In just over a year, Low Blow has experienced success with official remixes of DANK & Lorensa‘s “One Life,” Sick Individuals & Justin Prime‘s “Guilty” feat. Nevve and Nicky Romero & Sick Individuals‘ “Only for You.” This is only the beginning for this dynamic duo, so stay tuned for what’s next.
