The Q-dance Network aims to become the digital portal into the world of hardstyle, offering both free and membership only content. Q-dance will shift its business to focus on online live experiences alongside physical events as they combine the world of live events, content creation, and tech to offer a completely new experience for dance music fans.
Q-dance, which normally welcomes over 500.000 music enthusiasts to their festivals across the world annually and recently premiered their movie ‘Qlimax The Source’ before publishing on Netflix, are again at the forefront of the music industry with the launch of the new ‘Q-dance Network’ and both a free and paid subscription based model. Fans can access events livestreams, 500+ live sets from the past 21 years and six new video on demand series exclusively on the ‘Q-dance Network’ app with the new ‘DEDIQATED Membership’.
The DEDIQATED Membership is the first of its kind and offers a spectrum of online and offline benefits from priority access to sought-after items like tickets and merchandise, access to unique upcoming live streams like Defqon.1, Dominator and Qlimax. Members will also have exclusive access to at least 6 new unique on-demand content formats; including the new ‘World Of Hardstyle’, a monthly talk show with MC Villain and a range of co-hosts joining him, ‘Legends’, a star-studded interview series highlighting the careers of the biggest names in hardstyle, and a mouth-watering cooking show brought to you by the prodigy Sefa, to name a few. Not to mention access to ‘The Archive’, a regularly updated database where all Q-dance content from the past 21 years will be available.
Q-dance is the first in the industry to shift their business from a strong focus on physical events towards both physical and digital experiences. Moving forward, most Q-dance events can also be experienced virtually from anywhere in the world.
“In the past year, we have once again been overwhelmed by the passion and dedication of our fans. The lack of events forced us to be more creative than ever with our digital capabilities. We are happy to provide our fans with online experiences in a new way during this difficult period, bringing the community and the artists together in a unique way. We see the DEDIQATED Membership as an online extension of the lifestyle that we share with our fans and artists, the embodiment of the ‘One Tribe’ feeling that we propagate as a scene.”, says Jonas Schmidt, co-founder of Q-dance.
After amassing half a million members on the free Q-dance membership program launched in 2018, which made it easier for fans to access tickets for events, merchandise, and content, the Q-dance community now has the opportunity to upgrade their membership to a new virtual place to gather, connect and experience all the hard styles in new ways online. The demand for creative video content is undoubtedly growing as 20,000 fans purchased tickets to watch ‘Qlimax The Source’ in 2020 for €9,99 before Netflix snapped up the highly sought-after film a few weeks later. Households gathered to watch the movie premiere which was followed by live-streamed DJ sets similar to Defqon.1 at Home and interactive Zoom rooms connecting fans globally for a safe party on the night.
These troubling times have pointed out for Q-dance once again how important it is to represent the harder styles online as well as in real life and to keep connecting their fans online in order to share their passion and lifestyle. The app will soon merge online and offline experiences with upcoming updates that will enhance physical events.
To build a place online, dedicated to the hardstyle community, is a long-cherished dream. Q-dance will continue investing in exclusive content, which from now on will all be found on its own Network, with unlimited access for the DEDIQATED members. With the Q-dance Network app, members can enjoy their favorite sets, shows, and concepts with the highest video bitrate and audio quality while also being able to cast it to their TV.
DEDIQATED memberships can be pre-ordered on May 27th, 8pm CEST via www.q-dance.com/network. The Q-dance Network app will be available on both IOS and Android and can be downloaded from June 17th onwards.
