Reinier Zonneveld Sets New Guinness World Record for Longest Electronic Music Live Set!

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, techno royalty Reinier Zonneveld made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest electronic music live set. The record-breaking performance took place at the Karren Maar Festival held at the historical Stadsblokken in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Reinier Zonneveld astounded the crowd with an extraordinary 11-hour and 11-minute solo live set, starting at 12:49 pm and ending at precisely 00:00 am.

Known for his intricate live performances and prowess with analog synths and a cutting-edge on-stage setup, Reinier Zonneveld has used his method of composing as he plays as well as a great selection of his new music to deliver his most ambitious and unforgettable set-to-date. Reflecting on his remarkable achievement, Reinier Zonneveld comments: “Karren Maar festival was an extraordinary journey of sound and connection. Karren Maar Festival, named after Reinier Zonneveld‘s signature phrase, celebrated its very first edition with a bang. Legendary tech house act GORDO, techno hero Speedy J, and household talents such as Zeltak, Space 92, Joyhauser, and Kiki Solvej played electrifying sets that kept the energy soaring throughout the event.

Next to his ambitious and successful attempt to set a new world record this summer, Reinier Zonneveld will be closing festival season with an album release in September 2023. Inviting listeners to go on a journey across all corners of the techno genre, Reinier Zonneveld’s new album has been hotly anticipated. Some of its singles have been evergreens in the artist’s legendary live sets for the past few years, such as the first single release from the album, ‘Music Is The Answer’, a crowd favorite as witnessed at Karren Maar Festival this year.
