Afrojack and Steve Aoki pulled it out of the bag in 2011 with the huge collab ‘No Beef’, the first time these two powerhouse producers would combine in the studio. A single that proved to be a massive success, released on the 8th of August, 2011, ‘No Beef’ went on to receive over 100 million streams, leading to both artists forming a short-lived duo called Afroki.
Afrojack joined Tiësto and Armin van Buuren in the line of globetrotting DJs, producers, and remixers to come out of the burgeoning Dutch dance music scene. He began playing the piano at age five, but after getting his hands on a copy of the music-sequencing program Fruity Loops, he started to play around with samples and create his own songs. Putting out music for over a decade now, Afrojack is one of the most influential artists in dance music. He has released 3 studio albums so far, with the latest being ‘Press Play’ back in 2018, and has collaborated with the likes of David Guetta, Charli XCX, Imanbek, Yves V, and many more.
Electronic dance music producer and award-winning DJ Steve Aoki built his brand around raucous live sets, high-profile remixes and collaborations, and his indie label, Dim Mak Records. His official debut album, ‘Wonderland’, received a Grammy nomination for “Best Dance/Electronic Album” in 2013, while subsequent releases remained a steady presence in the US Dance chart Top Five, including a pair of chart-toppers with ‘Neon Future, Vol. 1’ (2014) and ‘Neon Future, Vol. 3’ (2018).
