11 years have passed since the release of ‘Never Say Goodbye’, and it certainly hasn’t said goodbye to being a massively popular song that can still rock a festival. This collaboration between Hardwell and Dyro would get its premiere at Ultra Music Festival 2013 during Hardwell’s set to an incredible reaction from the crowd and has gone on to accumulate almost 20 million streams on Spotify following its release on the album ‘Hardwell Presents Revealed Volume 4.’
By this point in time Hardwell was already a well-established name in electronic music, and Dyro was starting to make a name for himself having been signed to Hardwell’s record label Revealed Recordings. Dyro would go on to release a remix of Hardwell and Dannic’s ‘Kontiki’ which appeared on ‘The Sound of Revealed 2012.’ The following year the two would combine to create the masterpiece, we all know and love today that would blast around festivals for years to come. The track also received a beautiful vocal performance from the incredibly talented Bright Lights who had previously recorded vocals for ‘Call Me A Spaceman’ but didn’t make the final cut. A year on she got her chance to shine on ‘Never Say Goodbye’ delivering a beautifully powerful vocal performance.
During the premiere of ‘Never Say Goodbye’, Hardwell called Dyro the “world’s biggest upcoming DJ” and he has since gone on to create his own record label WOLV Records and release more massive tracks including his collaboration with Martin Garrix, ‘Latency.’ Also, recently Hardwell and Bright Lights have collaborated again on the hard hitting 2023 track ‘Shotgun (It Ain’t Over)’ adding to the list of massive hits Bright Lights has contributed her vocals to.
Since its release ‘Never Say Goodbye’ has become an unforgettable track that stands out in an era full of incredible electronic music. The tracks high energy has never faded with its melody still being undeniably irresistible to throw your hands in the air to and forget the world around you.
