Building on the resounding success of his previous collaboration, ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’ with Alesso, Sebastian Ingrosso, the founder of Refune Records, joined forces with the highly acclaimed Australian artist, Tommy Trash, to craft the electrifying masterpiece known as ‘Reload’. Before the release of the vocal version with John Martin in 2013, this track had instantly earned its place as an EDM classic when it was released as an instrumental on September 28th, 2012.
On ‘Reload’ these two titans joined forces to showcase a dynamic blend of styles, utilizing their ample studio experience to its fullest as they break new ground. At once muscular and melodic, the fusion of these three artists’ talents was fresh, exciting and nothing short of exceptional. While the galloping drums and pulsing, distorted bassline ensure that energy is kept at fever pitch throughout, the emotive melody is able to build to its climax in a wave of soaring synths.
‘Reload’ was the latest installment in what had been a stellar year for Sebastian Ingrosso‘s Refune label. Having achieved worldwide success with ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’, his collaboration with Alesso, thehad also been behind Alesso‘s solo tracks ‘Raise Your Head’ and ‘Years’, Deniz Koyu‘s ‘Bong’ and of course ubiquitous summer smash ‘Million Voices’ from the talented Otto Knows.
