“Imma say, BOOYAH!”
Released in 2013, Showtek gave us one of the most iconic Bigroom songs out there. Back when the genre was at its peak with other tracks such as ‘Animals,’ ‘LRAD‘ and ‘Wakanda‘ being released, the renowned Dutch duo Showtek have shook festivals all over the world with their ‘Booyah,’ the song that proudly represents the Showtek sound.
The track has quickly gained popularity in the industry, receiving plays from the likes of David Guetta, W&W and Calvin Harris, as well as reaching number 5 in the UK Singles charts. Followed by the success of ‘We Like To Party‘ and ‘Cannonball,’ the Dutch DJs have united powers with We Are Loud and Sonny Wilson for a special combination between Bigroom, Drum n Bass and Reggae.
Besides having a great sound, the record also has a special music video. Filmed in the urban scene of London, the video showcases 2 brothers skipping a day of school and spreading the good vibes in the streets of London with their boombox, uniting people through the power of dance and music. The video was released in September 2013, one month after the record’s original release.
Followed by the success of Booyah, Showtek have had their next big release in 2014 when together with David Guetta they created ‘Bad,’ their most streamed track with 613 million streams.
