Released 12 Years Ago: Tiësto & Diplo – C’Mon

Although its vocal version featuring Busta Rhymes would gain some mainstream attention, it’s the original instrumental production that was produced by two of the biggest powerhouses in electronic dance music that gained the attention of millions across the globe. 2010 seen releases such as ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ and ‘One’ (by Swedish House Mafia), ‘Hello’ (by Martin Solveig), ‘The Island’ (by Pendulum), and many more, ‘Cmon’ rose to prominence right from its release with the powerful synths and sounds of Tiesto and Diplo proving to be a match made in heaven. Released on the 12th of May in 2010, ‘Cmon’ gained over 50 million streams online, cementing its place as one of the best EDM releases in 2010.

Tiesto is the only artist to ever hold the titles of “The Greatest DJ of All Time” courtesy of Mixmag, “#1 DJ” according to Rolling Stone, and “The Godfather of EDM” as proclaimed by Billboard. After making history in 2004 as the first DJ to open the Olympic Games, he remains a sought-after headliner everywhere from CoachellaElectric Daisy CarnivalUltra, to Tomorrowland. On the other hand, Martin Garrix has risen to global stardom in pop as well as electronic circles – and yet he’s far from being done. Dance music’s freshest talent has headlined festivals around the globe, founded a label and mentored other artists and won the #1 spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 three times in a row. His passion, ambition, drive, and maturity remain unmatched in the world.

Born Thomas Wesley Pentz, Diplo is one of the most dynamic forces in music today. He is a legend on his own, a member of the iconic Major Lazer, one third of LSD, the psychedelic supergroup with Sia and Labrinth whose debut album has been streamed over 3 billion times, and half of Silk City with Mark Ronson, whose platinum-certified ‘Electricity’ with Dua Lipa topped charts worldwide and won a Grammy. His pioneering label Higher Ground, conceived in 2019 includes recently released singles ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ with Damian Lazarus and Jungle and ‘One By One’ with Elderbrook and Andhim. They follow three U.S. Dance #1s for Diplo and the label—the Grammy-nominated SIDEPIECE collaboration ‘On My Mind,’ ‘Looking For Me’ and ‘Turn Back Time’ with Sonny Fodera. The ten-time Grammy-nominated artist has also worked closely with megastars including BeyoncéThe WeekndMadonna and Bad Bunny amongst others.
