Before these two artists would complete a trifecta of killer releases with ‘Strong’ and ‘Islands’, KSHMR and R3HAB combined for the first time in 2014 for the amazing single ‘Karate’. A peak time anthem that encapsulated elements of both artists’ styles and seamlessly combined them for a top-notch production, ‘Karate’ gained over 150 million streams online since its release on the 15th of December, 2014. On top of that, ‘Karate’ became a mainstay in both artists’ sets, being played on the mainstage of both Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival.
An immensely experienced producer, KSHMR was part of electro-pop duo The Cataracs in the early 2010s, helping produce massive hits such as ‘Like a G6’ with Far East Movement, ‘Bass Down Low’ with DEV, and Selena Gomez‘s ‘Stars Dance’. Soon after his departure from the duo, however, the talented producer went on to become one of electronic music’s most prominent names off the back of his early high energy smashes. KSHMR is now known for combining ethnic sounds with electronic music, using innovative and creative sounds together which has put him amongst the world’s most respected artists.
Dutch/Moroccan DJ and producer Fadi El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, has been trailblazing his way through dance music for the better part of the last decade. To date, his work has collected over three billion Spotify streams, making him the most-streamed Dutch artist abroad and cementing him in Spotify’s Top 100 streamed artists.
