An immensely experienced producer, KSHMR was part of the electro-pop duo The Cataracs in the early 2010s, helping produce massive hits such as ‘Like a G6’ with Far East Movement, ‘Bass Down Low’ with DEV, and Selena Gomez‘s ‘Stars Dance’. Soon after his departure from the duo, however, the talented producer went on to become one of electronic music’s most prominent names off the back of his early high-energy smashes.
KSHMR is now known for combining ethnic sounds with electronic music, yet it all started when he released ‘Jammu’ on the 15th of June, 2015, via Spinnin’ Records. The single, which he revealed in an interview with EDM.com is his favorite release to date, was a breath of fresh air into the dance scene at the time and helped establish KSHMR’s name as an exciting rising star.
