Renzo Zong Drops ‘Nostalgia Iluminada EP’ on Zompayra Records
Peruvian DJ and music Producer Renzo Zong unveils his latest body of work, the ‘Nostalgia Iluminada EP’, released via Zompayra Records. A two-track collection that draws from Afro House, organic textures, and emotionally driven production, the EP reflects Zong’s ongoing exploration of sound, identity, and atmosphere, each track offering a different facet of his evolving sonic palette.
Opening with ‘Primavera’, the EP begins on a bright, expansive note. Uplifting pads and a delicate piano line set the tone, as a steady beat gradually folds into the mix, the track develops with a sense of patience and clarity, holding listeners in a space that feels immersive and intentional. Field recordings and atmospheric details weave through the arrangement, adding depth and movement to the groove; underneath it all, a constant pad anchors the piece, rising in tension as melodic motifs and rhythmic elements interplay. ‘Cariño Bonito’ follows with a more vocal-led approach. Uplifting pads again open the track, this time met with a groove-laden rhythm and the emotional presence of Peruvian singer-songwriter Camenino, whose vocals guide the experience from the beginning. The arrangement opens into a midsection where warm pads and percussive textures build together, gradually raising the tension with an arcing synth line. A scorching slice of percussive Afro-Latin House, ‘Habibi’ sees STBAN collaborate with two stars of the Spanish music scene – DJ and percussionist Javi Torres, and singer and DJ Alba Dreid. The result is a dance floor weapon that combines the heat and flavour of Arabesque vocals and instrumentation with thundering basslines and relentless rhythms.
Javi Torres is known across southern Europe and Latin America for his explosive Afrohouse and Latin Tech sets, performances enhanced by live percussion inside the mix. The Seville-based artist counts support from some of electronica’s biggest names, including Martin Garrix, Alok, Jamie Jones, Hugel, Aaron Sevilla, Roger Sanchez, Mëstiza, MichaelBM, Tom & Collins, Novak, Nicky Romero, Paco Osuna, Salvarote Ganacci and Sammy Porter. SHAB turned heads with the release of the fantastic ‘It’s On You’ in February 2026 with Preston Harris. She’s now adding more excitement to the track with the unveiling of its official music video.
This visual venture came with familiar names behind it as SHAB collaborated with a lot of crew members who have been behind her past videos. The video takes on the well-established style that’s been displayed in many of SHAB’s other music videos with incredible scenery and beautifully strung together sequences. SHAB and Preston Harris star in the video with them leaning into the flirty nature of the vocals in how they interact. They fully embody the lyrics as they embrace the feelings of attraction, accountability, and tension conveyed in the track. Through stunning scenery, well-choreographed dancing, and palpable tension between the stars, the music video really builds upon the emotions set out ‘It’s On You.’
Since the release of SHAB and Preston Harris’ epic collaboration they’ve already pulled in just shy of 250,000 streams on Spotify. This success comes as no surprise with both artists being in top form. Over the past year SHAB has made several entries into the U.S. Pop Radio Top 40 and the Billboard Dance charts which is an astonishing achievement. Meanwhile 2025 saw Preston Harris reach a career high with the release of ‘Loosen Up’ alongside HUGEL which became a global Dance Radio No. 1. ‘It’s On You’ stands as another strong addition to both artists ventures into dance music as they continue to explore the reaches of their talent.
