Softboy7 Releases 2nd Album ‘dreamData’
Following up on a strong run of singles, Softboy7 has stepped it up with the release of a deeply personal album ‘dreamData.’
From the first track, ‘my little angel’, the scene is set for the world of ‘dreamData’. Packed with layered synths and atmospheric textures, it gives the album an energetic opening that draws the listener in. ‘dreamData’ is easy to get lost in as every track flows smoothly into the next, allowing the listener to immerse themselves in Softboy7’s world.
There is a very clear vision throughout, as each track maintains the core elements that define ‘dreamData’. Atmospheric soundscapes, precise beats, and dreamy synths. While every track is built around these elements, each one feels like a refreshing take on the scene. On ‘above the layers’ and the title track ‘dreamData’, there are beats influenced by digicore and trap with a more laid-back feel, while ‘ethereal’ pairs dreamy atmospheres with fast breakcore-style drums. The whole album production features balanced mixing and careful use of dynamics. It varies between intense and gentle passages, switching between high energy and softer sections.
Softboy7 developed the story and emotive background of ‘dreamData’ through his struggle with mental health and the journey of finding his way back to enjoying and loving life. Much of that recovery came from online connections, such as gaming sessions and calls, which fostered genuine positive emotions. One particularly defining moment for the album, he told us, was trusting a stranger enough to take a flight to Brazil, which ended up as a formative and unexpectedly wholesome experience. That sense of vulnerability and safety is reflected in ‘take my hand’, a track built around trust and emotional openness. This theme of connection extends throughout the album, with each song telling its own story, from ‘last promise’, about embracing your uniqueness, to ‘dead pc’, which reflects the sadness of losing personal data.
Inspired visually and emotionally by Y2K design, Frutiger Aero, Solarpunk, Kawaii, and Hopecore, ‘dreamData’ exists as both a collection of songs and a carefully imagined world built from real life experiences, digital intimacy outlining the reasons Softboy7 fell in love with being alive again.

DJ Madam Filth Drops Drum and Bass Track ‘Got That Blow’
DJ Madam Filth Returns With Drum and Bass Track ‘Got That Blow’
Las Vegas-based DJ Madam Filth has released her second track on the Dancefloor Mafia label, titled Got That Blow. Known for her presence in the U.S. drum and bass scene, she brings another fast-paced offering that reflects her commitment to building both her sound and her label’s direction.

The track runs for just under four minutes and wastes no time setting its pace. It opens with a rhythmic pattern that leans into familiar DnB territory like quick tempo, tight percussion, and minimal melodic distractions. There’s a focus on keeping the structure clean and the transitions purposeful. Instead of throwing in multiple breaks or sound detours, the song keeps the listener on a straight course with steady layering and repetition.
There’s a vocal sample running through the main progression, acting as both a hook and a rhythmic anchor. Rather than relying on dramatic builds, the track maintains a linear intensity. That choice gives DJs room to use it mid-set to either maintain drive or transition without losing pace.
More Than Just a Single
Got That Blow is not just another release. For DJ Madam Filth, this marks another step in solidifying her platform. As a resident on Vibe 99.7FM’s Bass Nation and co-founder of the Konkrete Jungle event series, she’s not new to the genre or its surrounding community.

The Dancefloor Mafia label, which she launched independently, serves as a space for her to release her own music and to experiment with tracks built directly for the kind of dancefloors she plays regularly. Her style often leans toward straightforward arrangements that favor flow over theatrics. Got That Blow fits into that catalogue clearly.
For Listeners and DJs Alike
This track isn’t trying to reinvent the genre. It’s meant for settings where speed, precision, and familiarity matter. The production is tight, with all elements serving the rhythm rather than competing for attention. For fans of minimal, high-speed DnB, it’s a track that can slot comfortably into playlists or live sets without dominating them.
DJ Madam Filth continues to approach her releases with intention. Got That Blow may not be overly complex, but it’s well-built for the purpose it serves. If you follow her work—or just want a no-frills DnB addition to your library as it’s worth a listen.#

Pendulum Announce First Album In 15 Years, ‘Inertia’
Rumours have been swirling since Pendulum wiped their socials a couple weeks ago launching fans into a frenzy wondering what this meant. After releasing their new single ‘Save The Cat’ they’ve now revealed that they’ve got a whole new album coming on August 22nd that it will feature on, ‘Inertia.’
Pendulum have been pumping out incredible songs for years, but you have to go back as far as 2010 to find their last album where you’ll discover the amazing ‘Immersion.’ It featured some of their greatest tracks including ‘Watercolour’, ‘Witchcraft’, and ‘The Island’ which put Pendulum on the map. However, with the wiping of their socials and the announcement of ‘Inertia’ it’s looking like they’re heading into a new era with a new sound.
From the tracks that have already been released you can still hear the essence of Pendulum, but they’ve dialled up the volume with a more aggressive sound. They dip into the realms of hardstyle with tracks like ‘Save The Cat’ while in ‘Halo’ and ‘Napalm’ they heavily lean into metal while not losing their drum & bass roots. Their path towards a heavier sound is evident from the collaborations alone with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, Wargasm, and Scarlxrd all appearing on the album.
The countdown has begun, and the bar has been set high with the songs we’ve got so far. After over 20 years of making music, Pendulum is still kicking hard right at the top of the drum & bass scene and ‘Inertia’ is looking to be another masterpiece from them.
