Revelle27 Releases Debut Album REVELATIONS
British DJ/producer Revelle27 (Laurie Revell, formerly of Just Kiddin) today releases his debut solo album, REVELATIONS, via his new independent imprint Dance Music Therapy. The record transforms grief and introspection into euphoric dance music, threading raw voice notes with club-rooted energy.
Already championed by BBC Radio 1, KISS, DJ Mag, and Mixmag, REVELATIONS cements Revelle27 as one of underground electronic music’s breakout voices. Written during a period of profound personal transformation following the passing of his mother, the album captures Laurie’s search for meaning and renewal. His sound fuses late-night club energy with poignant storytelling and heartfelt intention. It’s dance music designed not just to move bodies, but to heal hearts.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the album, Laurie explains:
“REVELATIONS was made during the most difficult time of my life. My mum’s condition was getting worse, and no one could find a solution. One night, I tried some THC oil that I’d gotten to try to ease her pain. That night, I ended up going through a lot of emotions, visiting some dark places, which was all caught on an audio recording.
It was an outpouring of what I was going through at that time, my frustration, helplessness, and my search for hope. I tried to help her in any way I could, but nothing could save her. After her passing REVELATIONS became my crutch. I grieved through putting my story into these songs. I found meaning and purpose through sharing my perspective. This album has kept me afloat, but now it’s ready to lift others up.”
Tracklist:
Hands of Time
A reflective cut about longing to revisit moments with lost loved ones. Laurie explains: “It’s the feeling of wanting to go back and experience the past again… It’s OK to have regrets, it’s OK to want to go back. I allow myself to feel these things sometimes, for a moment, in a daydream. Have a cry. Get it all out. Then come back to reality, in pursuit of embracing every moment.”
She Was A Dancer
Built with pulsing energy and radiant euphoria, this track celebrates Laurie’s mother. “A celebration of my mum. An energy made for movement — to escape and elevate.”
On A Mission
A bold, kinetic single featuring Ayda Rose on vocals, originally born from Laurie’s attempts to ease his mother’s pain. “Me and Ayda had been on a mission to help my mum. She recommended doctors I would take her to see, but heartbreakingly there wasn’t a lot they could do. Three years on, it now represents my new purpose: using my music to heal others.”
Keep In Touch
A crisp, melodic reminder of the importance of connection. “The value of connection and communication — a reminder to reach out to the people we care for while we still can.”
Solitude
Atmospheric and introspective, it explores inner reckoning. “Introspection in times of isolation. Questioning my own integrity, beliefs, and priorities.”
I’ll Be Loving You
One of the most intimate tracks, balancing nostalgia with heartbreak. “This was one of the songs I got to play my mum before she passed away… when I played her this version she told me it was perfect. It’s a balancing act of emotion and intense love/pain. Grief itself.”
Take A Breath
A meditative, flowing journey that builds into intensity as natural thought paths resume. “Sometimes we need a reminder to breathe, slow down, ground ourselves. But it’s easier said than done.”
Here In My Soul
Uplifting and spiritual, this song affirms love’s permanence. “Realising that the impact of someone lives forever within you. The love remains, as can their soul and guidance.”
THC
Perhaps the most raw track on the album, born from an overwhelming night. “I was searching for something to help ease my mum’s pain… Half an hour later I was deeper than I had ever been before. I started recording. What ended up happening was a journey through paranoia, empathy and self realisation.”
The Pressure
A powerful collaboration with OJM, written in mutual grief. “The intenseness of love in combination with loss — feeling and celebrating that love that’s still there. I wrote this with my good friend OJM, who is grieving losing one of his closest friends and collaborators, Tom Parker.”
We’ll Be Together
An optimistic, forward-looking cut with a hopeful glow. “A reality in which we are re-joined with our lost loved ones eventually.”
REVELATIONS is not just an album, but a statement: that vulnerability and euphoria can coexist on the dancefloor. For Laurie, Revelle27 represents both a tribute to his mother and a new creative identity built on honesty, resilience, and joy. With REVELATIONS now released, and more music and live shows on the horizon, this marks the beginning of a bold new era — one where dance music is not just for celebration, but for transformation.

The track explores the journey of personal growth, navigating choices, tension, and eventual reconciliation. “Working with ZHANGYE was a wonderful experience. We both hope this song can evoke a sense of ‘balance’ within listeners, and inspire them to gently embrace every stage of life.” – Justin Jesso

SHAB Unveils Official Music Video For ‘Skin & Bones’
How the “Skin & Bones” Music Video Translates SHAB’s Personal History Into a Visual Narrative
The music video for Skin & Bones opens by framing the song through SHAB’s own words, using on-screen text to establish the personal context behind its creation. The opening statements reference the period in late 2019, when SHAB’s career was beginning and her husband was critically injured in a car accident, followed by months focused on recovery. From there, the video moves between images of the accident and quieter moments of daily life, intercut with scenes of SHAB singing. This structure creates a clear contrast between intimacy and disruption, allowing the visual narrative to reflect the emotional foundation of the song without embellishment. Rather than repositioning the track, the video clarifies its origin, reinforcing how personal history remains central to Skin & Bones across both its original version and the Damon Sharpe remix context.
Shared Context Between SHAB and Damon Sharpe at the Point of Creation
The relationship between SHAB and Damon Sharpe predates the remix, which gives the visual and musical continuity of Skin & Bones a clear foundation. Damon Sharpe was involved during the original writing process, giving him direct awareness of the circumstances that shaped the song before it was translated into other formats. This shared context matters in the way both the remix and the music video unfold, as neither attempts to reinterpret the song’s meaning or redirect its narrative. Instead, the video’s restrained visual language and the remix’s measured production choices reflect an understanding of the song’s emotional boundaries. Because both contributors were present at the song’s inception, the final result feels aligned rather than additive, allowing Skin & Bones to move across visual and electronic spaces without losing its original intent.
Reframing Skin & Bones as a Continuous Creative Statement
Taken together, the music video and the Damon Sharpe remix position Skin & Bones as an evolving work rather than a fixed release. The video grounds the song in lived experience through its restrained visual narrative, while the remix allows it to exist within electronic settings without separating it from that context. Neither format seeks to redefine the track. Instead, each extends the same emotional framework through different forms of expression. By maintaining consistency between image, vocal delivery, and production approach, SHAB reinforces a creative throughline that prioritizes honesty over reinvention. In this sense, Skin & Bones functions as a single statement that moves across music, remix, and visual storytelling without losing coherence, reflecting an approach where personal history remains central regardless of format.
Where Skin & Bones Sits Within SHAB’s Broader Catalogue
Within SHAB’s body of work, Skin & Bones stands out for the clarity with which personal experience is carried across different formats. The music video makes its origin explicit through narrative and imagery, while the Damon Sharpe remix extends the song’s reach without altering its emotional foundation. Rather than existing as an isolated moment, the track reflects an approach that prioritizes continuity between songwriting, production, and visual storytelling. This alignment positions Skin & Bones as part of a broader artistic trajectory in which collaboration and format are used to support meaning rather than redefine it. In doing so, SHAB reinforces a catalogue shaped by lived experience, where reinterpretation functions as extension rather than departure.
Skin & Bones remains grounded because each format stays aligned with the same emotional center. The music video presents the song’s origin through direct narrative and restrained imagery, while the Damon Sharpe remix allows it to move into electronic settings without detaching from that context. Rather than reshaping the track for effect, SHAB maintains continuity across music, visual storytelling, and collaboration, reinforcing an approach where reinterpretation functions as extension rather than substitution.
